We came to Amore tonight to celebrate a family birthday. It has been a while since I’ve eaten there, so I was curious to return. Our family is large, so we booked a big table of about 12 people. I also had my two young children joining me (2 & 4). I remember being greeted warmly by one server, but the server at our table (Tamara) was not as pleasant. She seemed quite passive aggressive whenever we made requests. Instead of feeling welcome and comfortable through the meal, it felt like we were bothering her asking about seats for my children, a special drink for the birthday girl, or food on the menu. After an hour and a half my 2 year old was done so I asked for my main course (not served yet) to be taken to go. She did not seem impressed. There was zero communication on how long it would take. Twice I requested are bill and appeared to be ignored. She had a smile on her face but her attitude was neither gracious nor accommodating. At the end of the day, when you’re paying over $30 a plate for pasta… I’d expect better service and atmosphere. There are a number of other restaurants downtown with the same price point, but much better service. Save your money.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. High chair available but no booster seats. Not a lot of room to maneuver. No smaller portion options on the menu, and no smaller or plastic cups available .

Absolutely fabulous meal and service! Generous portions, reasonably priced. The mista salad was large enough to share, which my husband and I did. We each had our own pasta dish which we both thoroughly enjoyed, Aglio e Olio and the Vongole, a glass of wine and a nonalcoholic drink.

The food is out of this world there. The pasta is super indulgent and yummy. The staff was very friendly and the place is very cute! It can be a little pricey but they do have options that won't break the bank that are equally as yummy. I'd definitely recommend this place.
I may be a neophyte to real Italian food and honestly don't eat it often. Maybe it's the lack of quality restaurants, perhaps it's being brainwashed with a certain global chain making mediocre Italian food that doesn't quite hit the mark and costs an arm and a leg. But if I had to only eat it at Cafe Amore Bistro for the rest of my life, id be totally pumped. It was an epiphany the moment we ate here.Been here twice now and was totally blown away with the food and service. This place is justifiably busy and I would highly recommend getting reservations. I gambled both times without and the staff were so accommodating and got us seated fairly quickly. It was pure luck that we got seated and I won't risk it again now that I know what this place is capable of in terms of delivering flawless food and service. It would be heartbreaking to leave empty-handed.Every item we ate was delicious, from the caprese salad, meatballs, entrees and dessert. The caprese salad and spicy Marsala were pure ? in my opinion. As much as I want to explore the whole menu, I would feel guilty not getting these again.Service was top notch, Tammy was wonderful and took great care of us. A true professional in terms of customer service. She hooked me up with a chilli pepper for my Marsala when I inquired if it was actually spicy as I was wanting some real heat. This did the trick and it was a memorable meal.Do yourself a huge favour and try it out here.
This restaurant used to be the Italian Gardens in the early 1980's. The current restaurant is carrying on as the Amore Bistro, and this was my first visit since 1982. Very enjoyable.

Best Italian food in EdmontonWe went here for the first time 3 weeks ago. I ordered the spicy marsala pasta, and it was very good. My friend ordered the chicken special, which looked amazing. The drinks were so good. I had the Amore Spritzer, which I highly recommend. The only item that was underwhelming was the San Daniele Crostini. It was too dry and prosciutto was a little tough, however we will return for another delicious meal.
