“I want to say that the patties are delicious, it's great to finally have a patty place in Edmonton. In Toronto they are everywhere, I was nice to get some nice parties. I think the down side was the price. I got 2 patties and a coco bread and a island pineapple drink for 20$. I'm used to 16$ for a dozen at tinels in Toronto. I'm not bashing in any way because it's the only pattie joint in the city but I feel it's a little pricey... Excellent food tho“
“This place is located inside West Edmonton Mall in the Phase 3 food court.I'm not familiar with authentic Jamaican food, so I can't rate this place based on authenticity. However, I can definitely comment on the quality of the meals.During our first visit, the meat was a bit tough, but I heard that's how it's supposed to be done. The toughness didn't bother me because the taste was still there. On our second visit, we tried the oxtail, and again, it was to my liking. However, I'm not a fan of their coleslaw; it was too garlicky for my taste, and the knot bread was tasteless.Parking: Park at the London Drugs entrance for a shorter distance.“
“Café Caribbean is an absolute gem in Edmonton, offering the most incredible Caribbean cuisine that is as close to authentic as it gets outside of the islands. From the moment you step in, you are transported to a tropical paradise with the tantalizing aroma of spices and flavors that excite the senses. The food is a true culinary masterpiece, bursting with bold and vibrant Caribbean flavors that make every bite a delight. The friendly staff and welcoming ambiance only add to the overall experience, making it the perfect spot for a memorable dining experience. Café Caribbean is a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of the Caribbean right here in Edmonton.Vegetarian options: Chick peasPotatoes“
“I decided on a whim to try an app and try this place because I have been so let down since moving to Edmonton. I cannot say enough about how good the food here is and how authentic it is. I have not found anywhere in Alberta that is close to home food until here. They even beat my favourite place down in Etobicoke. I am so sad I have lived here so long and not known this exists. The man who took my order was kind, asked if I had any allergies. I will be back, and often, probably tomorrow. The small thing I got at end of the day is perfect for my work lunches. You will not find a better Jamaican restaurant. Glad I finally found a place that feels like home“
“It has been a while since I had eaten here because the hours are few and the location is very far from me but I am so happy I put the extra effort in so that I could refresh my tastebuds. What I realized is that I am not going to let there be such a large gap between visits it is hands down the best Jamaican Food in EdmontonDietary restrictions: It is quite spicy which before it was on the mild side so my preference is on the spicy end of things so it was only giving me heart eyes but I just thought it might be something to note.“
“This place has great value for what you're getting. The curry chicken special ($12) I got had fried plantains, a hearty Jamaican curry chicken, rice and beans. The spice level is just enough that it gives you a kick but not enough that it's unpalatable because it's too hot. The curry chicken has lots of flavour, and paired with a side of beef patty ($4) was just the right amount of food to fill me up for the rest of the afternoon. Next time I come I'm gonna try the jerk chicken, definitely a spot to hit up if you're visiting this farmers market.“
