I am legitimately sad that I only discovered Catch of the Week a month ago. I have been missing out of amazing and fresh seafood in Edmonton for years. Rip old me.Catch of the Week is a homey seafood market located just downtown the road from 50st and capilano area. The store has a plethora of frozen and fresh seafood to choose from. There is a little kitchen inside that serves up a well worth fish and chips (the fish is huge), various deep fried shrimps and lobster rolls. I'm not gonna lie, these lobster rolls ($16.99 a pop) have become my new favorite and go to pick up at Catch of the Week. If it wasn't for how much it would cost me, I would probably eat 3 in a sitting. There is also a little sushi bar/kitchen tucked away on the otherside by the cashiers, that has great sushi to go.If that wasn't already enough, they sell lots of easy pre-made meals that just need to be warmed up. Some of my favorites have been the Seafood Lasagna and giant seafood stuff mushroom cap. Both could feed two standard people if you added a salad to go with it - and they come with so much filling and delicious creamy seafoody goodness.Oh and the staff! All have been incredibly helpful and lovely people. Everyone has been super helpful with suggestions, recipes and are always great about letting you know what the store specials are. This is a great place! If you love seafood, you have to check this place out! Thank me later by donating a lobster roll to my belly ?

It's really a very nice seafood market.. a lot of selections, clean place, friendly and responsive staffs. The prices are okay in this economy. Definitely will come again when we are in Edmonton.

Selection. Quality. Price. Can't beat Catch of the week for all. Take Out Kitchen serves great food and the Sushi is very good as well. They always have great specials and the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you and give advice. If you love seafood this is the store to go to !!

Seafood lovers must visit! Too much good stuff. If you stay more than 10 minutes, you would definitely over spending.

Great store and great employees. I’d say to have one more staff on catering. The two at the back did a good job but I can see they were struggling to keep up with the busy line up of customers. Also I’d also say to have some sort of system for calling up the customers after their order is done. It’s very confusing to know whose order is for who Cus people be getting the same orders.Otherwise good store ?

Terrible business owners. Took my 87 year old handicapped mom to church that is across the street from this business. I had no choice but to park at the strip mall that has a huge parking lot. The business towed my car, would not let me use their phone and told me this was private property. No where was there a sign near my car indicating it was private property. Never had a problem like this when IGA was in the strip mall. They could have given me a warning- guess greed and profit rule the day! Shameful!

Absolutely love this store! Really great variety of seafood and even other meats like beef steaks and frog legs?! The staff are helpful, friendly and even accommodated us when there weren’t enough tables to sit and enjoy our food! We ordered their battered Halibut with fries and dusted squid with fries, all of which was cooked fresh and hot and tasted great! Their lobster sandwiches are delicious too! We shopped for many items to take home with us after and are very satisfied with them all! Will definitely visit again very soon!

Catch of The WeekJust found out about this fish market, and with nothing much to do on this snowy day in April, we decided to take a ride to check out the place.Fish and chips for lunch.Amazingly clean place, even in the early Saturday afternoon. All freezers were fully stocked, with precooked frozen meats or frozen fish. There is also a fresh fish and meat section.Lots to choose from!Line up for the fish and chips was quite a long one. While I was waiting in the line, my husband took a stroll through the store and he was able to meet with the owner. “The French guy” was talking to many customers, and I found that to be very European. Kinda, neighborly market experience. We ordered each 2 piece of cod (12.99$) and halibut (14.99$) with fries, one side of breaded calamari, 6 pieces for 6.99$ (delicious) and soup of the day, lobster bisque.4⭐️ for halibut - fish could use some salt3 ⭐️ for fries (not salty at all and one or two were not fully cooked)4,5 ⭐️ for cod - size of the fish is what I’m rating this .5 also lacks salt5⭐️ for calamariYou can either pay ahead and eat inside where it’s only few tables to sit, or order and pay on your way out. They also have sushi counter, but I’ll try that some other time. It’s definitely worth checking the place

Fresh sashimi! Unbelievable assortment and excellent customer service. Have purchased many tuna and salmon steaks for homemade sashimi and nigiri. Next will be definitely trying out the fresh oysters!
