I am going to miss seeing you at lunch Amy! 20+ years of your dry spicy chicken is going to be a hard habit to break. Enjoy your work-free mornings and we will be bringing the family to the restaurant regularly.

Chicken for lunch is permanently closing soon and I'm selfishly very sad about it

24 years of enjoying their amazing food! 5 out of 5 stars every single time! She gave me a customer appreciation Christmas gift once too which was delightful. Lingnan too, so good, and such good hosts. The Quon family is one of the highlights of Edmonton.

Amy remembers everyone, service is fast, and the food is amazing. Long lines during the lunch hour but they move quickly.

I’m trying to get in as much Chicken for Lunch before they close, which will be the last week of February 2024. I’ll miss their hot and dry chicken so much, as well as their other items.Food is always fresh, service is efficient and pleasant - they definitely know their regulars, and prices are still very good in comparison. $11.50 for a small (1 item/type of chicken), $12.50 for a medium (1-2 items) which is their most popular size, and $13.50 for a large (1-3 items). The food court is dated, but very clean and well kept. Lots of scaffolding at this time which is less pleasant.Plan for and expect a 10-15 minute wait from the time they open at 11:30 and during prime lunch hours. Don’t expect they will have all options available, especially the hot and dry by the time the rush is over or when they close, which is just after 1 in my experience, although it will vary by day.The food court altogether is closing for extensive renos, so check out the sushi place and Indian places as well. The food court will be relocated to the main floor after renovations are complete.

CFL is a staple of downtown Edmonton that will be intensely missed... From the great portion sizes, to the great flavours, to Amy's amazing memory.

First time eating here today at lunch. Lineup was 40 people plus at 1230. Was better than the very high recommendation i was given. Amazing food and portion size was huge. Amazing taste and everything was fantastic. Wish i heard about this place sooner. Well worth the wait in line which wasn’t all that long. Highly recommend!!
