I'm live across the city and Uber here every time I need to pick up a cake. I have been saying this is the best dq, and honestly, the only one I have been or will go to. The staff are always friendly. But there is first for everything! Yesterday I bought a cake and brought it home to cut it and it was pretty much only ice cream . If I wanted vanilla ice cream, I would have gone to get a bucket if ice cream . There was cookie sprinkled, not layered. Some pieces didn't even have any, and then barely and fudge like I said, just vanilla ice cream, very dispointing .

Past couple times I’ve gone for sundays or banana splits, they barely put any ice cream and very little toppings.Even asked for extra toppings and there was still little on it.By the time you get to the middle, you have no toppings and are just eating ice cream.Recent reviews have said the same thing. This location has gone downhill. Very stingy.

The cake was absolutely adorable but the burgers were gross.. bacon was rubbery yet hard at the same time, had only a sliver of lettuce and smothered in ketchup.. not good. But the cake design was gorgeous!

Went to this location for sundaes. As you can see there is barely any hot fudge sauce. I had one coupon to receive one at $3 and the total came to $14.68 for all three.I asked why there was so little. The girl said, “you get 1.5 pumps that’s all if you want more I have to charge you more for it.”I said, “well I already paid quite a bit for them, please tell your manager that it’s not good and we provably won’t be back. She said, “lots of people complain and the owner just says, “good job Crystal keep doing what you are doing”Because of this we won’t be supporting your business any longer.

Classic dairy queen flavor. What can you expect, it's a franchise restaurant.Service was terrible. There's this one older lady, probably manager or something, that has given me bad service on multiple occasions.She refused to apply a coupon unless she took it from me. After putting up some resistance, she clawed the coupon from my possession. I understand rules are rules, but I've been to many other dairy queens where they're perfectly chill with you keeping and reusing coupons.Another time, I ordered an item to go and she tossed it onto the counter, turned around to pick up some napkins and a spoon, and threw them onto the counter as well. She was gone from the counter less than a second later, with no "enjoy" or any other pleasantries.Tldr: tastes like any other dairy queen. Service bad.

Big, big THANK YOU to cake lady, Jinky, for saving the day! Birthday cake was ordered in DQ Newcastle August 13, 2023 for pick-up on September 6, 2023, 6PM. Phoned DQ Newcastle at 4:30 PM to inform them that my husband will pick-up the cake at 6PM only to be informed that there was no cake made for me as the order slip was missing. This caused panic and stress for me and I was trying to control my anger as I don’t wanna ruin the day, like the order was placed 3 weeks prior!!! Manager Shane referred me to DQ Palisades as the cake lady is not at Newcastle anymore and offered her apology. Spoke to Jinky, time was tight but she was able to deliver! I did not get the cake design that I wanted as this was explained in detail to the supervisor at DQ Newcastle who took my order, but Jinky made sure I get a nice cake for my son. Thank you, Jinky!
