What an incredible meal, hosted at this superb restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was quick and they handled our huge group with ease. The 10+ course meal was a lot to eat and taste - divinely cooked and devoured by all. The kids asked for dessert and we were given a bunch plus fortune cookies and then the owner stopped in to greet us and gave the kids more treats. A big thanks to all of the workers on making a family get together go so smoothly. Some pictures that I remembered to take are below.

The atmosphere was good! It's a good sign when you see lots of Chinese people!!!!! The food was decent, close enough to satisfy my tastebuds. It's good enough if you weren't raised in Vancouver :) It's a very busy place, esp when there is a wedding, so be patient.

My wife and I were lucky enough to be invited for dinner tonight, at this well established restaurant. We had no idea the treat we were in for! The food was absolutely perfect, with HUGE portions and lots of variety. Our server, Karen, was very attentive and caring. She was so friendly, even sharing pictures of her beloved cat. A few times during the meal, I glanced around the restaurant and, from what I could see, everyone was enjoying it as much as we were. Apparently, they opened in 1975 and, my assessment of the interior is that most of the decor was original. Would that stop me from going back...no way. I've been to far more fashionable restaurants that looked good, inside and out, but failed to impresses like Golden Rice Bowl. We will definitely go back. Outstanding!

This is a family favourite. Their prices have gone up quite a bit but we still enjoy dinner and dim sum (best siu mai in the city in my opinion) here. Food is delicious and service is great.The space is big and can be fancied up for parties or celebrations - other Chinese restaurants don’t look as nice inside.

Food was fantastic, prices are good. Just need to watch when paying with cards. I told them we were splitting the bill in half and that included tip. he added a tip as he passed us the machine. So when we tapped thinking we already giving 20% tip, we ended up giving a 50% tip.

Dim Sum here is very good !! our families come here everytime we are in town.Nice big restaurant . Clean washrooms.Great staff. Highly recommend ??????

Wanted to try the pineapple bun, but it comes with three of them, which is big portion. Some dishes are ok, some tastes too plain. Hope they can increase the variety for dim sum.

We were told that we should hurry to make sure we were gone before the 6:00 reservations showed up. That is fair, and shows how busy they are. The dinner for 2 was $70 which seemed high considering buffets would run about that much. The server recommended going for 2 dishes and some rice instead. It came to $90 without drinks! The food was okay, if a little bland, and I noticed they have chop suey which shows the type of cuisine they have and how long they have been in business. If the meal was 1/3 the price I would recommend it. But it has been around 15 years since the last time I came and will probably be that long until next time.
The services here are so “BAD” people. We were here today for some dimsum . Some of them has very strong smell like they are stale , so we call the waiter and complain then the lady looks like the owner she come over and says that some guys in the kitchen have tasted them and they say it’s “OK” to eat but she won’t charge for that one . She never say “Sorry” or something that we want to hear . “NO CHARGE” that we don’t want to hear , we can pay for those , we have money and we just want to enjoy the foods . From now on we won’t come back here for sure !

Showed up to place an order at 4PM in the afternoon, thinking I could grab a quick take out dinner for my Family. What I thought might be 20 minutes ended up being 52 minutes. My advice don’t drop in and order, it’s always super slow to order here.

Food was cooked terribly. Could not eat the mushy offerings. Tasted less than other dim sum places Often could not tell what the food was. Perhaps it had a bad day.
