Great onion cakes. Prices are a bit high though. But it's worth the onion cakes. The location has limited parking, but that's pretty standard on 118th. The little shop is very quaint and bohemian and a mix of modern and antique. I love the old hardwood floor and furniture. I also really adore the big tree inside with all the paper birds and Chinese lanterns. I like sitting down here, quite welcoming.

My friends and I went to the green onion cake man café on Tuesday. August the 22nd. 2023. I ordered a green onion cake and it wasn't too bad and wasn't that great. And I ordered the hot and sour chicken soup. And it was terrible.! It didn't even have one piece of chicken in it. How can you call it a hot and sour chicken soup when you don't include chicken? There was no broth, It was just gelatin. Too much vinegar, not balanced properly. Yuck! I couldn't eat it and just left it. Plus, I couldn't believe how expensive most of the items were on the menu. One item, $16 another item, $18 I might as well just go to a buffet. Pay a little bit more and get 12 to 20 items. My friends and I each said that we'd never go back there ever again. Such Terrible food. Yuck!

They were overpriced years ago.And it's gone up. Like 65% in twoyears. Was $14.5 for 4 cakes(one person). Now it's $22 for one person.Completely priced out of the neighborhood they are in. A luxury food for people who don't mind spending for food for 6 people, but only get two peoples worth of food.

As expected the green onion cake was fantastic but that is where my accolades end. Lemon chicken was grossly overdone to the point you could bust a tooth. The Pad Thai was devoid of meat. This was very disappointing considering the rating of this establishment. Will not order again unfortunately.

Bookmarked this place 2 year's ago after seeing it on a youtube video. Food was good, service was even better. Tried the onion cake, beef stir-fry and spring rolls. All were good, beef was on the sweeter side.

The green onion cake was solid. One of the better ones I’ve had.Don’t order the pad Thai. No flavour to it and it’s greasy. One of the worst ones I’ve had in the city. Neither me nor my partner finished it.

Awesome food. I got the fried rice and Im sure it's gluten free if that's a diet restriction for you. I dined In and it was nice and cool outside. It's family owned and the owner is an outstanding nice guy.

Terrible wonton soup . A friend and I ate one bite and we both thought the broth tasted like only bacon. Wonton tasted like only ginger and cilantro (no meat). No wonder you have to pay first… because the food in inedible and you won’t get a refund. What a waste of money .

Classic round flat no hole in middle green onion cake. Dine in and all the sambal olec chilli sauce you want.Inside is a wobbly floor restaurant a boys girls bathroom and needs a repaint door. Or cleaned. Dirty print door. Needs a degreasing.Seems like i do need to go back and try some main dishes. Looks good and i over heard fresh dumplings made here not frozen something. Maybe they will add here whats made fresh.
