Used to be a fan ! But they have changed the menu to all 8$ options and the quality has suffered. Ordered a simple BLT because I thought eh can't mess that up. The soup was so so salty I sent it back, and overheard the chef say " this is the only item I hate sending out" also the bacon was deep fried. Lazy cook. Good mashed potatoes and drinks.

They have great food, great prices and a great atmopshere! The only thing I was confused about was figuring out it was on the second floor above el Cortez ?

My daughter and I had a fabulous meal last night, March 6 2020. Music was great, small and cozy. Our waiter was excellent. Perfect meal sizes and the food and price ??. Definitely worth another visit. ??

I used to rate Have Mercy at a 5, but they have changed their menu a few times and I'm simply not as much of a fan any more (I'll be honest, I miss your pulled pork, which was THE BEST I EVER HAD). It's a nice place to grab a whiskey, and I always like sitting at the bar because they have fun/friendly staff

Went here for some drinks with a buddy on the night of May the 4th be with you and the place was packed. Alternating between a live band and a great DJ we lucked out with a booth. We grabbed a couple reasonably priced beers (they need to bring cans of beer with a frosty mug). My buddy had a nice hot pretzel and I had the Fried Chicken and Chorittos and this little dish was Fantastic; the chicken was so crispy and juicy and bursting with flavor. Which was paired perfectly with those sweet little Chorittos. And because the night turned into Cinco de Mayo we were treated to some fine tequila and tasty little tacos: Bonus!Prices are very decent and the place attracts an eclectic bunch, after all we were there.

This truly is a hidden gem in Edmonton. The food is incredible, with great portions and quite reasonably priced. The staff is friendly, funny, and very helpful if you have any questions about the food, restaurant, or local area. They have great live entertainment, lots of burlesque fun, and their bartenders make really good drinks. I would absolutely recommend anybody to try this place out, whether they be long time Edmonton residents, or visitors from out of town. Will absolutely be an ongoing customer.

Been here a few times and doesn't disappoint. Be it late on a Friday wanting to enjoy a live band with friends or catching up with friends on a Sunday Funday while enjoying some eats ? Today's review is eats directed. Rolled in just after opening 230pm on a Long weekend Sunday. Greeted right away after seating ourselves in a booth. Ordered a Ceasar and only remembered when served it, it comes in a slender glass. I drink them fast, so by the time I got the Ceasar and when he took my order it was 3min (maybe? lol). Only complaint as the food made up for it. $9.75 menu, everything from appys to mains to sandwiches to dessert. Slightly more expensive then the last time I visited, which was $7.75 (I think). Bigger menu though with more options. Appys on Sundays are half off. Ordered calamari and tater skins to start (not pictured). Smaller portions of both, potato skins 4 loaded pieces and just about a cup and half of calamari. Both perfect before indulging in our mains. My friend has meatball sub to which he liked very much and the fact it came with curly fries. Both items hot and fresh. Not a toasted bun but didn't takeaway from the sandwich. I got dill wings with a side of hot sauce. The breading was light yet crunchy. Dill was light but I did dip them in hot sauce which is my favorite. On the smaller side but considering the price point you can't beat it. Will go back as there are a few dishes I'd like to try and love the atmosphere, reminding me of an older Nashville bar.

I've been to Have Mercy for supper several times and have seen the menu evolve. On our most recent visit, the menu is now pretty much all the food is $9.95 whether it's an appetizer, salad, sandwich or a main. We had the pickle fries, they were good. We also had a steak sandwich, its 5 ounces on a potato bun. I think 5 oz is just right and it was done as requested. Others had spinach dip, Mac n cheese, poutine and all seemed satisfied. We also had a banana daiquiri and a Betty White cocktail. The cocktails are yummy and $11.95 each so that price might prevent one from having too many. There are pitchers of peach iced tea and other pitcher drinks. Noise level is loud. There are booths, tables and high top tables. I'd prefer a booth. It seems to be always busy and we were part of a party of ten so large groups seems to be ok.

the drinks were good but this place was DEAD. Went around midnight on a Saturday night, and they even had a DJ but for some reason they had a (empty) table on the dance floor? so I'd only recommend this place for drinks or cheap food, not really dancing or socializing.

Went for a work party. Waiter was excellent and friendly. The live band they had Friday night was talented and we all had a great time dancing to some 90's hits.

Amazing first time here! If the prices of the food don't already have you intrigued, the taste is soul enriching! Great fun cocktails and atmosphere. Will definitely be back!!

Haven't been here in over a year now....got turned off by $25 hamburgers and limited local craft beers What a difference a year makes! The entire food menu is now $8 and down, there are several great IPAs on offer, the playlist is cool and eclectic, and the staff are warm and friendly. I've put a pin on the map again. Good work, HM !!
