spicey soup is a staple, as it's all ive had there in the 20 years I've been going and it's always been great, service is understandably decent. 4 stars because it's on Meth-Alley :/

This has been my favorite pho place since going with my parents as a kid. Hands down the best peanut sate pho in the city! Spicy and a bit sweet you’ll really develop a craving for it.The owner is also the sweetest, she always remembers me, even when I don’t live in the city and haven’t been for years!

When I arrived she told me I had to spend over $20 if I wanted to use debit but when I asked if I could take my leftovers home she got mad because the takeout containers were expensive and asked why I ordered so much food.

Love this hidden gem in China Town. The food came up fast which served perfectly for a work day lunch.

We enjoyed a delicious meal at the restaurant. The presentation of the dishes and the sevice were exceptional. The surrounding neighborhood wasn't pleasing upon arrival. The restaurant was of impressive quality itself.

Effortless Flow

Basic Broth: lack of flavour. Broth was clear with some oil and MSG. Not returning. Anywhere on Whyte Ave charges a $1 more with better flavour and decent customer service. This place was empty on a Saturday. Empty carton boxes placed by the front window. Only one table was been used by the window. Lady owner gave us a table in the back in the dark. Then she pressured me to make a decision by being pushy. The "restaurant" was empty. What was she so busy with her empty "restaurant" that she couldn't help me to make a choice off of her menu? Then when she lost her patience at me when she came check on us for the 3rd time within 5min of our arrival. She told me all plates were the same and to pick anything and to choose between small and large. At the end her pay machine acted up and she got mad at my friend saying my friend did something to her device. Then when she was able to obtain the receipt and make sure the payment went through she waved her hand at my friend and me to leave like we were not welcome there. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe she didn't know how to manage her stress. At the end no customers who don't speak her language deserve to be treated this rude like we were. Go anywhere else where owners and servers are polite to you. Prices are almost the same in most Asian restaurants. Customer service is ZERO at this place. How is this place 4.4 stars out of 119 reviews? Is this a joke? This is an honest review. I don't remember ever being treated this rude in a restaurant before. Never coming back.

One of the oldest Vietnamese restaurants in town. Deep fried chicken thigh with fried rice is my favorite.

I agree with the second last reviewer. The place was great in the past. This was the first restaurant that I ever had Vietnamese food in, but it's gone downhill.Today's meal was also hallmarked by an argument with the owner over the use of Visa versus MasterCard.I left a decent tip, but will be reluctant to go back again for a while.Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly as long as they can use chopsticks.Parking: Decent parking right in front.

I’ve been going here forever.we love the spicy soup, it’s unmatched any where in the city in my opinion and trust me we’ve tried everything. It’s a very homey vibe, you’re not gonna get fancy restaurant service but that’s not why you should go. You should go because It’s a very tight knit family restaurant that has amazing food. and with time you will develop a relationship with the lovey and kind owners.
