New experience for us as we ordered the tonkasu and beef ramen soups with a side of crispy chicken. Really, the soups were not deep in flavour which, was a disappointment. A vinegar splash would have been needed to brighten up the flavor of the beef soup. The tonkasu broth needed more creamy richness. The noodle texture was very good and there was a good amount of noodles in the bowl. The chicken was just ok, not crispy or juicy as I would have hoped. The spring rolls showed up and I understood that they were complementary but, we were charged for them. The rolls were crispy but forgettable as the inside ingredients were missing again, flavour. While the service was prompt and very pleasant, it was difficult to understand the explanations from the staff. We will not be returning, as there are better options in the downtown area.

2nd VisitI had the Yaki Chicken Udon. Delicious!First VisitThis is only the second ramen place I've been to. But I thought Hu's Noodle Nook was absolutely delicious. I had the Shio Ramen. It had a great flavor and the noodles were amazing. I would definitely go back.

Was visiting the area to show my daughter McEwan University, decided to try this restaurant. It was very tasty with good quality food. Had beef noodle soup and the marinated egg. Giving 4 stars as there wasn’t much beef in the soup. The food was very good and I see myself eating at this place more times when the new school year starts. Note: parking is free if you register your spot once you come in… don’t forget. Thanks for the great service and tasty food.

Took my partner here for ramen after our classes in MacEwan, and I regret not coming here sooner. The Tan Tan deserves some type of award, and I look forward to trying it again. The staff were very kind and accommodating even while they were very busy, and they deserve some serious credit. I will definitely be back:)

Our first time at this Japanese restaurant. The food was delicious, really flavorful and enjoyable! We ordered Hu's Beef Noodle, Tonkotsu (with chicken and egg), spring rolls and Yaki Gyoza. The meat in all dishes was so tender and burst with flavours. The broth in ramen was unforgettable, especially in Tonkotsu. Overall great experience! We will be back for sure!

This noodle shop is truly a hidden gem. The restaurant's attention to detail is evident in its delightful ambiance, especially with the large blackboard showcasing the daily specials and adding a playful touch.I had the pleasure of trying their latest creation - the cleverly named Hu's 2P Noodle. This dish features a unique fusion of Japanese and Chinese ramen, infusing the flavours of ground pork and hot peppers (thus "2P"). Each bite was a moment of bliss, and I relished every mouthful until the very last drop of broth, leaving the bowl perfectly empty ?
