This was our favourite curry place in all of Edmonton, but unfortunately the new ownership has changed that. The inside of the restaurant is completely different, not at all as nice as it was before, it feels cold and unwelcoming. They didn’t even have their updated menus or the bar the set up. There was 5 of us, none of us enjoyed our meal. I am really not one to complain but this was so disappointing. Our chicken was very fatty, not a lot of meat per serving and the curry itself just wasn’t tasty. I ordered a korma and it was not at all how an Korma usually comes, it wasn’t creamy, it was just chopped up tomatoes in a sauce. The lamb was like 50% bones. Again, I don’t like to complain but this was extremely disappointing and we will not be returning, don’t waste your time here.

Great little spot on Whyte. Highly recommend. The owners are super nice people. The coconut naan is the best thing ever. Will return for sure.

The restaurant is under new ownership and the food quality, service, and atmosphere are now awful. It's really unfortunate because it used to be so good. The table we initially sat at was dirty, the hostess was inattentive (even though the restaurant was empty). The menu is the same as before the ownership change, but the actual food has been downgraded to make the food as cheaply as possible. Frozen vegetables instead of fresh ones for curries, cheaper cuts of chicken for butter chicken and precooked likely frozen naan instead of naan freshly made in a tandoor.Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.Edit: In response to the owner's comments. We were not approached by the new owner unless the new owner was our waitress but she did not introduce herself to us as the new owner. Our gift card from before the ownership change was not honored.

I cannot express how disappointed we were with this restaurant!! The service was just terrible! We didn’t see our server even once after we received our food. We went looking for her to request some silverware and she was no where to be found. We ate our food with the two spoons that were provided to serve the dishes. They used frozen vegetable mix in their vegetable curry and wayyyy too much salt. Even the Nann was salty! Save your money and go somewhere else!

We ordered lamb with an Indian sauce. The lamb was more than 50% just bones. The service was fast and we had a lot of fun with the waitress. She was very nice with us even though she didn't have experience on that. We had one of the funniest experiences in a restaurant. It was rather cold inside. They should work more on heating the place.

The service was terrible and the food was disgusting, it has changed ownership and was terrible all round. The original Indian owner was superb food was fantastic so was expecting the same until waitress told us it's changed owners. A dozen items unavailable, poor alchohol availability. Will NEVER Be going again!!!!

Disappointing. This used to be one of the best Indian restaurants in the city, but now sadly nowhere near the same quality as before. Smaller portions. Food was not fresh and definitely not the same recipes. Both the curry and rice were dry and tasted like old leftovers. The naan was an odd texture and rubbery. I hope they can figure out how to regain the quality of the previous menu. The restaurant itself might also need some ventilation.

I just read that the ownership has changed or something? The restaurant definitely does not have the same vibe it once did. I was worried, but the taste of the butter chicken is exactly the same and I enjoyed it very much. The portions seemed a bit smaller and I was disappointed that there was no tamarind chutney for the samosas. But otherwise, it was what I was craving! My favorite Indian place in Edmonton.

AMAZING FOOD!!!! If you like Indian food please try this restaurant. The flavors are on point; I would rate it better than 10/10.

Took my friend here for her birthday. The food was awesome as always. Service excellent. And there is a parking garage for clientele.

Fantastic lunch! The lunch special was delicious, fresh and hot. It was a very generous portion and great value. Had local beer special on tap for a great price and it came in an ice cold frosted mug. The delicious authentic chia tea was freshly made with loose leaf tea. Family owned and operated and the owner is very friendly, great service.

The best Indian restaurant! The food here is full of flavour! If you come don’t forget to try their house made chai tea!

I've been thinking about trying this restaurant for months and I'm so glad that I finally did. The food was fantastic and so was the staff. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere that transports you from Whyte Ave and gives you a little taste of India. And did I mention how good the food was?!?
