The food is mediocre and a tad bit expensive. The service is pretty subpar too. Was celebrating my girlfriends birthday here and they didn't refill our water once even though we stayed for a few hours and no one else was in the restaurant. They never cleared our plates until after we asked for the cake that we brought in. Seems pretty carefree to me.

I came here with a large party a few hours before closing. Although the food was delicious the way we were treated was so awful I’ll never return. The waitress was very rude from the very beginning but we brushed it off. Someone spilled water on the table and the waitress was irritated we needed more than one piece of paper for the mess. She gave us a rag to use instead and didn’t even offer to help. Both of which we also took in stride as it could just be a bad day for her and we did complicate her job. It took about an hour to get our food out which is expected with a large party. I went to the back to ask about a roll for my friend as she had been sitting there well after we had all finished eating waiting for her roll. I understood and was gracious about it. The staff misunderstood and made 2 rolls instead of just the one we ordered. When I clarified the mistake she had the audacity to roll her eyes at me. At this point I could not excuse her behaviour because I told her I was making sure they remembered my FREINDS roll not “I want to order another roll”, and even with the confusion I could have taken the extra roll home but she left no room for conversation in such a rude way. As much as I enjoyed the food this lack of care for customer experience and downright rudeness was enough to make sure I never return and tell everyone to stay away from this business.

Everything we ordered was delicious and full of flavor.Takoyaki, love platter, karaage chicken, deep fried oysters and Salman tataki.I will always go back here for the food.The service, however, is slow. Usually one person man's the front and they are always slow to bring menus, take the order and then return with boxes at the end.Either than the service 5 stars! Everything, including washrooms are clean and tidy.

I loved seeing soft shell crab and the agedashi tofu on their menu which what drew me in to order from them. But...The agedashi tofu, didn't have the grated daikon, ginger, or bonito flakes. They also fried the tofu in tempura batter instead of a coating of potato starch. What a disappointment. Great broth though.The California rolls didn't have a slice of cucumber in it, so it was very mushy textured. But it was STUFFED with imitation crab.The crunchy spicy salmon roll was not spicy, and the salmon had a banana flavor to it. Maybe they kept bananas in the same fridge? Not sure. I had 1 piece and threw the rest of it away.The spider roll, delicious. The dragon eye roll, delicious. The koroke, delicious.Maybe their food tastes better if you dine in.

Waited more than an hour for food to come to table. Never have had such slow service at a sushi restaurant. Considering we were the only people there at the time.Also, the food is very overpriced considering it is mediocre sushi at best.It is apparent they prioritize skip the dishes orders over in house guests.

I ordered on a Friday night, ?’s were not bad… I ordered deep fried soft crab thinking it would be amazing, here it came in a package saying soft crab salad, which was a deceptive order according to the menu… I try my best to be an optimist, but when I opened up the dynamite roll I ordered, I did find some filler rice in my roll, and to add to that I found imitation crab meat… I have a disgust for California Rolls, it’s the reason why I only order the dynamite rolls… I would be totally fine with my roll being small, if it contained avocado, cucumber, and tempura shrimp… that makes me happy. With absolutely, no imitation crab meat… I like real crab meat ???? Did not reach my standards

This place is great and with reasonable prices. I study at UofA and me and my friends live close by and always enjoying coming here. The bento box is great and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. It's also always open late so great for us university students. Definitely recommend.
