Paul and Amsale have been offering up the highest quality Ethiopian cuisine for almost twenty years. It is my favourite restaurant in the city. Recently they have moved from their Whyte Avenue location to Barb and Ernie’s restaurant on 99 Street and 72 Avenue. You can enjoy takeout from Thursday - Saturday starting at 4:30 pm and they also have a dine -in event once a month on the third Friday. They are also having a special New Year’s Eve Buffet. Can’t wait!!!

You have got to try this place! We had family visiting (from another continent) and, as a part of experiencing Edmonton, decided to sample a fusillade of great cuisines that the city has to offer. After three weeks of eating out family consensus went overwhelmingly in favour of Langano Skies as the tastiest food we have had during the visit.Stop reading this and order from Langano Skies!

Family owned restaurant, super friendly. However, price doesn’t do justice with the quantity. I think it’s somewhat pricey with what they offer. Taste is okay. 7/10. I ordered 1 red lentil entrée which was 18$(which should be 10-12$) and chicken curry for 22$ was too oily and less curry(which should be 16-18$ )

Langano Skies was my introduction to Ethiopian food, which is now one of my favorite cuisines, and this is still my favorite place to get it. It's also one of the few places where I'm just as glad to get a vegetarian dish as one that has meat. I'm a fan of the Yebeg Tibs, Gomen Wot, Yemisir Kit Wot, and Ater Kik Aletcha Wot dishes in particular. It was a sad day when the Whyte Ave restaurant shut down, but I'm glad they're back to serving food using the Barb & Ernie's kitchen at night on the weekends, in case anyone's confused about the new location.

Love the ambience and the staff. Great Ethiopian food in the city! I live a bit far now but still go there for special occasions and loved every single time.

The owner is always nice and service has always been great, best Ethiopian I have had in my life and been going to them for years, I know they had a cookbook and I want to get a copy to make the gomen wot.

This is a fabulous Ethiopian restaurant on Whyte Ave and 99th St. Unfortunately, it is closing. I talked to the son of the owners last night, and they still plan to be at some gatherings like Fringe Festival.

Langano Skies was delightful! Sad to see an Edmonton staple go… The environment is welcoming and charismatic. The service was extremely attentive and kind! Shout out to Emma! The veggie sambusa was the best way to start the meal! But the special tibs, yebeg wot and atekilt aletcha wot were so delicious!

Best Ethiopian restaurant in Edmonton - very sad to see them closing but excited for what's next for them and their family.

Went in to take out as not comfortable with no restrictions yet. The restaurant was BEAUTIFUL and clean. The server was amazing and took time going over the menu with us, and then tweaked our orders to make our meal perfect. The food was generously proportioned and absolutely delicious. The best Ethiopian I have ever had. Definitely returning to try the whole menu!
