The resturant is permanently closed, but open table still allowed us to make a reservation somehow. So we showed up to a closed resturant and didn't end up being able to eat at all, because all other restaurants were booked up.

This restaurant closed the week before I made my reservation on your site. It was ver annoying to drive 1/2 hour to the restaurant and find it closed, especially after receiving confirmation notifications from your site right up until arriving. We found out it was closed from workers for the owners of the building itself, and that it had been closed for a week. You need to have some sort of confirmation from the restaurant itself so this does not happen.

The restaurant is not even open. They have changed their name (can't remember) and Louisiana purchase has moved to a new location to 137th Ave. And Saint Albert Trail. We went to that location and it was not even in operation. why it's even taking reservations is beyond me. What a complete runaround and waste of time. We ended up going to a movie at the nearby theater.

Amazing!!! Server was top notch. The food came out hot, as soon as possible and utterly delicious Surprised my date with birthday dessert and stuck around to sing happy birthday ❤️ What a great experience

To start off with the service we had here was top notch! Our server Morgan was polite, friendly, and so great. She was quick to make sure our waters were always full, and for the kids even though they didn't have kids cups she didn't fill them way too full (which was perfect for less spilling!). We came with our kids and right away they got us a high chair for the smallest. The vibe is very classy here and the decor is really tasteful, seeing all the Christmas decor too really made my kids light up and it was done up real nice. Our group had one Gluten free person and it was nice to see they had a whole menu of options for them. They said the jambalaya was excellent and a really good serving size. We ordered the Blackened Blues Catfish, which was nice to hear it was a top choice selection from the manager too, Cajun spiced freshwater catfish fillet with creole tomato sauce, spiced rice and the tastiest honey butter dill vegetables I've ever had! The catfish itself was cooked perfectly and the portion was great even though I split it with the hubby. (Saving room for dessert here!). The other top menu item (manager recommended of course) was the Crawfish and Shrimp Etoufee- a spicy Cajun stew served over spiced rice and cabbage slaw. The plates were licked clean it was that good! The kids menu has a good selection of items as well. Of course my burger lovers got the sliders...and right off the hop the youngest drops his burger on the floor. And our server Morgan comes to the rescue and doesn't even hesitate to put in an order for a new burger for him. Thanks Morgan you saved us! Onto dessert! The bananas foster came highly recommended so I'm glad someone in group ordered it so I could snag a bite! Such gooey banana caramel goodness! We ordered the Peach Melba Cheesecake which our oldest really enjoyed. And we got treated to the fancy donuts, French Quarter Beignets, they are just donuts but dang they were so good! Fluffy and fresh, perfectly warm and crispy with a side of maple syrup to dip them in. Plenty of parking out front, and a baby change table in the bathroom too! I'm eager to come back and get a cocktail here and try more things off their menu cause this dinner was just phenomenal.

The atmosphere is superb. Our server was great with the exception of having to ask for water 3 times before she brought some to our table. The portion sizes are good although I do remember them being larger. The music was just loud enough you could hear the words but didn't have to speak up to listen to each other talk. I would recommend eating here and we will be back.

Made a reservation, special note added it was my sons birthday but they didn't acknowledge it although they did for another table next to us. Also showed interest in a desert menu after someone else at my table received their cake, waitress gave me a second spoon to share instead, not sure if she was fat shaming or genuinely misheard my request but big people like cake too (surprise surprise). Also didn't have alligator on the menu, third time in a row. Everything and everyone else was par for a restaurant like this. The food special itself was great and we quite enjoyed it, drinks were ok too.

Was there a few weeks back. Had the chicken wings. Very disappointed. For a place the specializes in flavour. The wings had zero of it. Just bland, a chore to eat. I could have made them at home. I can't see myself going back.

I am a Cajun food guy, but this was very disappointing. I had the seafood jambalaya, it was 99.5% rice which was over cooked and was like a paste. They served a mussle that must have broken when they put it in my dish and I was picking pieces out of my mouth while I was eating it. Flavor was ok, nothing special, I can't cook, but I have made a more tasteful dish myself. Everyone else's dish was just ok, but nothing special at all. The waitress was not attentive and the restaurant was empty. Someone showed late and took forever to get his drink order, then orders a tea later after eating, again took forever to get the tea.

We used to go to this venue several times a year and loved it. Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated and is no longer worth the amount of money charged to eat there. Most likely won't go back.

The food was very bland and lacked any depth of flavor. The jambalaya tasted like the food your room mates probably cooked for you in college; canned diced tomatoes, no seasoning, and undercooked rice. Mmmmmm! Dig in!Any half decent home cook with a spice rack can make better food than this. Prices are outrageous for the quality of food served. We will not be returning.

To be fair I was used to the upscale atmosphere of the old Oliver location. This is nothing like that. The dining area is like a like a red lobster , maybe because all the red furniture. The hurricane tasted like fruit punch. Ordered the Louisiana flat bread, was just cheese bread, no brie spread as promised and drowning in aioli sauce. Then for a main -steam boat jambalaya which had little flavour, a piece of whitefish about 1/2 teaspoon , one,yes one scallop. The two eye ball sized hush puppies tasted like flour. It was not gross so I ate it but not worth going back ever.

The pulled pork Po-boy sandwich was the most delicious sandwich I've ever eaten. The French fries were sensational. My compliments to the chef and staff. Wonderful dining experience. Thank you so very much.

We went there specifically for the swampsticks(alligator) and they were even still on the menu but when we went to order they were unavailable, they should have a sticker over them(even if it's only temporary) The Cole slaw on the catfish tacos was bad. We love Louisiana purchase but feel like it's gone downhill when it comes to food quality lately. I don't think we'll be back.
