I think you should not expect service if you come to this restaurant .I was craving for their fried rice as I tried once before and it was unbelievably delicious but this time around it’s not so much.Food came out not hot and no one checking on us for appetizers or mains .I was very hungry and still I ate it half way. Now as I’m still here sitting waiting for the server to come to our table to get To go box .Ps: their food taste is good but it should come out hot and service needs to Improve a lot.

I had the unfortunate experience eating here tonight. Everything about my meal was not good. It all started when my over cooked, prepared from frozen spring rolls arrived. They were obviously not made in house and were just plain nasty. When I took a bite into it the texture looked like slime. After eating 3/4 of a spring roll my sandwich arrived and it didn't fair much better. It was 12" long and not even cut in the middle. The vegetables were chopped unevenly so the taste was very uneven. The worst part of the sandwich was the chewy meat I couldn't even bite into without taking a grizzly chunk out of the sandwich. Worst meal I've had in a year or two. Stay far away. I thought it would be quality food being on Bourbon Street but sadly no it was not.

After seeing the reviews from before we came in here with low expectations and to nobody’s surprise they were met. Before I explain this is my lowest review I’ve done for google so keep that in mind.The atmosphere was alright the restaurant itself was quite nice and clean with it being quite loud in there, we are also in the middle of the restaurant/food court area so it makes sense.The service was something, they came every minute to see if we were ready which we responded with no because we weren’t because there was quite a few of us. No smiling and rarely came to fill up our water, we actually had to ask the first time. It wasn’t that busy so there’s really no excuse for this lacklustre service.The food wasn’t even bad it was just missing flavour. I’ve had lots of Pho you can see my page if you don’t believe me and this had very minimal flavour. The beef sate my friend had was met with the same response as mine. The vermicelli was alright according to my other friends but nothing special. I would like to share my horrible experience with their server name Khan here in Mai Vietnamese.The food is great! The ambiance is awesome too. Other servers are okay too except for their server name Khan.This is the 4th time we ate in this restaurant. Our experience for our 1st and 2nd visit were Awesome! Food is great, ambiance is quiet and relaxing and service is okay too. Simply because it is not Khan who attended our tableHowever on our 3rd visit we experience a terrible service from their server Khan. After we eat, I asked for the bill and take out box for the food that we didn't finish (spring rolls, so delicious). Then Khan came back w/ a terminal but forgot the take out box so I reminded her if I can have a take out box. We were shock when Khan responded with a rude voice, "is that everything? You should ask it a while ago". So we responded, yes we did, no need to be rude. We tried to understand her maybe she is just tired or not in the mood that day.But after a week, on our 4th visit, my wife and our friends decided to eat lunch in Mai Vietnamese. Unfortunately, it is Khan again who attended our table. We told Khan that we are waiting for 2 more people, we will just order an appetizers for the meantime while waiting for them. After waiting for 15 mins, our friends arrived and we ordered. We were shocked again when Khan responded sarcastically "is that everything?" Rolled her eyes while crossing her arms. It makes us want to leave the restaurant but we really want our friends to try the Vietnamese food, instead we asked Khan if there is another server because she is being rude to us and makes us feel uncomfortable. She told us that everyone is busy, no other server is available. Then we ask her if we can talk to a manager. She proudly response back to us that, I'm the manager with a cross arms and and rude voice. So we ask her again, what is the name of the owner? Khan response back again that she is the owner.Knowing from the other server that she is not the owner. So I hope the management sees this because it affects the business of this restaurant by hiring someone like that.Server name: Khan, very rude server. Becareful everyone

It's been our 4th time eating here. We love the food but there’s this one specific server who pretended to be the owner named “Khanh” who is very rude. She keeps giving attitude to everyone. I understand when it’s busy and she has to attend to everyone especially if they are short staff but this time it wasn't really that busy.My husband and I came to eat lunch with friends. While waiting for our friends, we only order the Shrimp Mango Salad as appetizer. She keeps coming back asking if we are ready to order. When we’re finally ready because our friends is nearby, I gave my first order and she was quick to say sarcastically “is that it?” while crossing her arms and rolling her eyes. We ordered two more dish then I called her out to ask if another server can serve us as she was being rude. We never had this experience before simply because she was not the server on the other occasions.When we asked for another server, she said everyone else is busy and she is the manager and “owner” of the restaurant but the other staff said she wasn’t the owner. Regardless, if she is or not, a good customer service goes a long way in a business and I believe this person is hurting the business as I checked other review with the same experience with us. I wouldn't give a tip for that experience but I consider the other server who’s going to be affected by the centralized tipping just because of one bad apple.

The ambience is very nice. The food is absolutely amazing, and the staff are very kind and professional. The broth is a special recipe that tastes legendary. I must say I wish I could give more than five stars. This place is really great.
??AVOID THIS PLACE! I found a fly in my pho soup after finishing 40-50% of it ! I informed the server.She apologized and took the issue to the manager ! The manager comes smartly with the bowl ! And guess what? She took the fly away and says there is nothing wrong with the dish! But, I had already taken a picture if it because I am smarter! Lol.Instead of apologizing ,she says you will have to pay for the other dishes with a tone suggesting that I put the fly in it . She didn't charge me for it, after I showed her the picture.! I paid for my friend's meal and left! Yuck!Initially, I tried to change my order but couldn't bcos it was too late. I was ok with it and went on to finish it! But boy ,nobody likes fly in their food! ?
Got the Sate beef. This has to be the worst sate beef I've ever been served. Calling it sate is an insult to actual date beef. Go to Pagolac if you want actually Vietnamese soups.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian soup is made with chicken stock.....

My experience at Mai Asian Fusion at West Edmonton Mall was extremely awful. I experienced severe symptoms after consuming their Tom-Yum pho noodles. I had food poisoning after eating at this restaurant. I felt sick, I was vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, and weak.Furthermore, I believe that the ingredients used in preparing the Tom Yum Pho noodles were not authentic. The taste and consistency were off, leading me to believe that there may have been a use of chemicals or a pre-prepared sauce pack. Additionally, the lack of freshness in the ingredients was evident, which contributed to the severity of my symptoms.In conclusion, my visit to Mai Asian Fusion at West Edmonton Mall left a bad taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively. The food caused severe health problems. The questionable ingredients and lack of freshness in the Tom-Yum pho noodles further contributed to my poor dining experience. I strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant and prioritize their health when dining out.

Now I understand when reading other reviews about being so rushed to get you over and done with. I believe I got 3 different servers asking me “are you ready to order?” right when I got the menu, another came back again within a minute then in another couple minutes another server came to ask again. That was annoying, felt they want us outta there quick. No smiles when taking order, and when our meal was nearly done a server came, looked somewhere else and asked if everything was ok. Didn’t sound genuine at all.Food was ok, ordered the steak and flank pho. Soup base didn’t taste that salty but the flank was rough or too over cooked. My daughter enjoyed the banana and pineapple smoothie. Overall, the poor service was what really bothered me.
