What happened to this place? In an area with stiff competition from tons of great restaurants, I don’t think the new Maki Maki is long for this world. The food was painfully mediocre and yet the prices were exceptionally high. The bathrooms were dirty. The server was unfamiliar with the menu. I had a $17 spring roll vermicelli bowl because I couldn’t find my way to justifying any of the other dishes at their new prices without knowing if the quality had changed significantly. I did get one piece of Toro just to see if there was a reason it was $4 for one piece of nigiri—perhaps they’re larger cuts from higher quality fish? It was unexceptional in any way, and it was toro from white tuna, which it did not specify on the menu and is not what one would normally expect at most Edmonton sushi restaurants. It was fine. $3 max. The mediocrity of the vermicelli cannot be overstated. The spring rolls were the blandest cooked from frozen cafeteria affairs. There were no herbs in the dish at all. The noodles were of poor quality and slightly overcooked. The fish sauce was nothing special, nor were the table sauces. There’s nothing here to suggest an elevated product deserving of elevated prices, and I only chose this dish because it was the least egregiously priced. Please fix the prices or up the quality as soon as possible.

Absolutely horrible service, no other customers in Restaurant, took 10 minutes before anyone checked on us. Ordered a main and 2 appetizers. Main came out first, 10 minutes later, still haven't recieved appetizers!!!! Will not be eating here again.

This used to be one of our favorite places to go but it appears to have gone significantly downhill in the last few months. They have almost doubled many of their prices, while drastically decreasing the quality. As my partner put it, it is now grocery store quality sushi. Even the sushi rice, which used to be sweet and sticky is now stale and dehydrated. So disappointed, as this was one of the hidden gems near Whyte, but we will no longer be going back.

This is an amazing place for Sushi and also had their boba tea, all of was amazing and the customer service was amazing. The sushi was amazing as well, one thing that makes me love this place even more that they played Blue Bird by Ikimono Gakari such a beautiful song. I went here for my passing little brothers birthday because he loved sushi, this place will forever be my favorite sushi place. Thank you for the food and the kind people and service!

We've been here a couple times, but it had been a while, they did since renos since we were here and it looks super nice and clean. Food was pretty good, had a huge variety. We had a larger party and they could accommodate us right away. Only downside was service was very slow, there were tables that were served before us, took almost an hour to get our appetizers, and got our main meals before the apps. Overall great experience, would come back for the Pho for sure.Parking: Lots of free 2 hour parking in front of the building.

The best sushi and ramen in town! Their sushi is so fresh and refreshing. The ramen is so comforting and definitely worth the price. The ambiance will really give you an Asian vibe. We ate here with my family and everything we ordered was exceptional! Will definitely go back here and try some of their menu.
