My wife's co-worker lives in Edmonton and recommended Partake. I came on a Sunday around 545pm. Really really nice overall experience. The service team gave great insight on the menu, they also shared that it was "Sunday Sips 'N Snacks" which meant featured cocktails and some food specials. Lucky me! Part of me wishes I had asked for the name of the server working behind the bar to give credit where credit is due but on the other hand, if I gave an individual shout out it could over shadow an completely awesome job by this entire team. I'll definitely be back here. All dishes I had tonight were really nice. My personal ranking would be;1. Devilled Egg2. Schnitzel Stack3. Sausage4. Potato

Visited Partake for the first time a few months ago and let my friends know how awesome it was. Made a reservation in February for 4 in March.Showed up and our reservation was missed, was told we would need to sit at the bar until a table opened up. Busy Saturday, the manager came and told us that it was their fault and they would seat us at a table. Then she questioned us because our 4th person wasn’t there yet and we should stay at the bar until they arrived. Told we could be seated if they were coming. We asked to be seated because we’d just order and they would show up when they show up. Didn’t receive drinks until 45 minutes after being seated. Manager came and questioned us about our 4th person, we asked if instead she just wanted us to leave. Our 4th ended up not showing up, but we still spent over $400 on food and drinks. Our server was sweet and tried her best but it was really uncomfortable and unfortunate how the manager treated us. Really left a sour taste to a restaurant I was excited to recommend.

Had olives, baked brie, duck tacos and a bottle of wine. Everything was amazing, but the olives and duck tacos were definitely the winners. Highly recommend.

This place is a gem. Highly recommend. Our server was out of this world. I haven't received that level of high quality attention and service in God knows when. The service elevated everything. Casey was their name I believe. Great Róse by the glass. Superb cocktails. And the Duck Tacos rocked my socks off.

Super disappointing.First of all, it took me weeks to even get my birthday reservation booked as the only way to contact them is through email. My friend who has dietary restrictions essentially had to go with hope in her heart as they didn't respond to her either. I had heard good things though, so I wanted to see for myself. Things sadly, went from bad to worse.Upon arrival our party had to wait 15 minutes past our reso time, standing in their cramped space essentially in the way and towering over seated diners. Upon being seated I asked right away for the wine list to which the waitress (whom was very sweet) told me I could get up and go look at on my own on their chalkboard. Why 4 wines couldn't be memorized is beyond me. I then asked for lemons for our waters she had brought and she came back to say that they would have to charge us 50 cents per wedge...I tried my best to not laugh...seriously?Next, our meals. Some of the girls were somewhat pleased but no one was gushing and others sorely disappointed, mainly in portion size and lack of flavor. I had the duck tacos and steak tartar. The first were quite good, the duck was perfectly cooked at the "fixins" worked very well together but the latter was boring and bland and the baguette was stale. When I mentioned it to the short haired blonde, whose dismissive attitude leads me to believe she is an owner or manager, she asked "which bread" to which I think I must have given the most puzzled look...all of it? So, anyway she took it and brought back more that was equally hard and chewy so I asked for more of the kettle chips and they did that. The garlic sauce they put on the side was quite delicious but didn't save the meal.At some point it was mentioned to the waitress that it was my birthday and she said they don't do anything for birthdays but that she had a surprise she wanted to do for us "on her" and offered us a round of a digestif. In the meantime several girls ordered desserts and all were disappointed in the Creme brulee saying it was just OK. The waitress came back after a few minutes and said she had been "shot down" at the bar for what she had offered us! Unheard-of, I couldn't help but laugh in that moment for which I felt a bit bad as it's not the the waitress' fault that the management runs things so poorly.Needless to say I won't be going back and this review will be going up on my food review page as well so people can be prepared for the possibility of a subpar evening. My birthday was wonderful thanks to the company of friends but boy do I wish I had invited them elsewhere.

Food was mediocre, service is terrible. Even though our waitress was lovely, management is garbage. The waitress felt really bad and embarrassed. What I ordered:1. Escargot: it was good, but nothing amazing… it was an average garlic butter. Probably the tiniest escargot I’ve ever had. It comes with a side or bread… I’m celiac and the waitress offered to replace for GF bread. They gave me a slice of toast and then they charged me $5 for it, without any notice. Yes, $5 for a slice of thin toast, I’m pretty sure it was the PC brand one that I buy a Superstore.2. French onion soup, small size. Tasted good, again nothing mind blowing. But beware, this is not a small size, it is a miniature size. The bowl is probably 2 inches in diameter.3. Deviled egg, which they forgot about and I had to re-order. It is not a deviled egg, it’s HALF an egg. This was terrible, very salty and very dry.3. Dark chocolate crème brûlée: they are quite small, about an inch wide in diameter and it didn’t taste like a crème brûlée at all, just a plain custard.- if you want a lime wedge for your water they charge 50 cents. They also have a policy of no phone-calls.I wouldn’t recommend this place. It was tiny and cramped, also hot in there. Parking sucks and the food is not worth the hazle nor the arrogance of this place. Will not go back. There are so many other tapas-style places were the food is much superior, like Bodega for instance. For French food, even The Creperie is better.

I really wanted to like Partake. The service is pleasant, but dreadfully slow. The popcorn that was served was stale. The drink selection is great, but good luck trying to get something on your table, even if you're sitting at the bar.If you do happen to sit at the bar you can witness their food prep, which turned us off entirely. No handwashing, touching containers, order slips, cupboard handles, her face, wiping her hands on her apron. The French Onion Soup was okay. Certainly nothing to recommend to friends.I really wanted to try some of their wines, especially after not getting a single refill of our water. Unfortunately we didn't get any face-time until we asked for a bill.

The atmosphere and service were amazing. I highly recommend the cocktails! Their bartender can make any drink you want depending on your flavor preferences. So cool!! The restaurant is small so be sure to make reservations by emailing them if your party 4-6.Now the part I found confusing is that the portions were laughably small for the price. Its like they wanted bar snack food at fine dining portions and price. The devil egg is only half an egg. The pate de campagne doesn't come with bread (the French would never), the escargot came with 6(?) For 18$. The portions weren't satisfying to justify the price. I also found their bread chewy :(I would definitely come here for a fun drink with friends before an event or a drink after work but I wouldn't eat here again. Nonetheless, it's a cute atmosphere to come with friends, just don't expect to be full after your meal.

Such a gem!! We heard about Partake from the show "You Got to Eat Here", so we had to check it out. Perfect timing as we went on a Sunday which had a hour hour food and drink. We had the deviled eggs, stuffed potato and stuffed dates to start. All three were delicious but the potatoes were the favorite. The aioli dip was amazing. Our mains were the sandwich which was featured on the show Choque Mon Soubise. My husband raved about it. We also had the French onion soup and beef tartare. The tartare was made table side which was neat. It had beets in it which was new to me but very good. The earthy flavor went very well with the meat. Our server was very friendly and quick. The atmosphere was very nice, the right amount of noise and a great little restaurant. It is small so I would suggest a reservation. Would highly recommend!
