$5 RAMEN ? - for anyone craving ramen without breaking the bank...I was shocked with their 11:30 - 4:00 pm half price ramen (regular: $10) deal because there was no compromise on quality or taste!We didn't just enjoy a bowl of delicious ramen that not only satisfied our cravings but also exceeded our expectations in terms of portion size.We also tried their Aburi Salmon Roll and and Tiger Roll ? both are recommended by our server that day, and they don't disappoint..Overall.. good food, cravings satisfied!!

This was supposed to be a special night out for a birthday. I recently read about Tansen in a local magazine, and couldn't wait to try it. Great food. Terrific food even. The service was not good.Nearly 20 minutes had passed and no one came by to take our order until I flagged someone down. We ordered drinks and a few mains. The food itself arrived promptly and we weren't disappointed. Tiger Roll, Hamachi collar, and scallop sushi were especially delicious. Our drinks still hadn't arrived by the time we were done our food. Again, we tried in vain to flag down a server to ask about them. The server didn't even seem to know we ordered them. Another interminable wait until our beverages finally arrived. The same situation repeated itself again when we wished to pay our bill. It took at least four attempts to flag down our server as she blazed back and forth. Honestly, the whole situation was frustrating.Tansen has a good thing going with their food. It's really delicious. If they step up their customer service, they could be spectacular.

This was my first visit. The quality of the sushi that I have was not up to standard. The $5 discount ramen was cheap. It would be a good choice if you don't eat much and want to have a small bowl of hot noodle soup in the cold winter. If I were a university student, I would walk there for the ramen. But I would not like to pay $10 for it. The ramen only have one very thin slice of pork belly, a half soft yolk egg, few pieces of seaweed. In addition, parking is an issue. If you are lucky, you may find an one hour parking spot on the street. For the price and quality, I would recommend Sushi Aroma again.

The $5 ramen was surprisingly delicious, with pork and egg toppings and a decent portion. I can't imagine it will last, so I definitely recommend checking out the restaurant soon. The agedashi tofu was good as well. If you're looking for a cost effective delicious experience, this is the place.

The service is so painfully slow. My sister and I spent longer waiting for our bill than eating, that being we waited over 25 minutes (and counting). It’s a shame because the food is quite good, but the service does NOT match that.The new trainee they have working (didn’t get his name) was doing FAR more than any other server on the floor.
The food and value of this place was amazing, however I found that the dishes we ordered came to our table at very unusual times. First thing we got was a sushi roll for a single persons meal and then 1 of our 3 ramen bowls then the other 2 bowls and our other sushi roll and lastly my skewers. Whether it was simply miscommunication in the kitchen or simply an oversight in prep times meals were finished before people even got their food. I will be going back to this place however I hope these issues will be fixed.

Food was fantastic! We went at 4pm and had the place to ourselves. By 5, 5:30 the place is packed. Service was great. Only complaint would be the music.. The constant f bombs in some of the songs kind of ruin the pleasant atmosphere.

So much variety and the featured $5 Ramen special. We ordered the Goma Ramen and a couple of suchi rolls and chicken skewers for lunch. Service was just a bit slow, but they were busy. Tasty, good portion sizing for the rolls. The prices were reasonable. Their ramen bowls are smaller than the usual...uncertain if they are the size they are because of the $5 Ramen special. Varied menu. Lots to choose from and daily specials. Reasonable prices. Will definitely return.
