A security guard saved me from a terrible date here, although he didn't know it. Had a great time time dancing with a crowd in my age group, and the bartender was fabulous at whipping up non-alcoholic mocktails

Good spot, surprisingly not too crowded. Mature crowd thankfully, they have a cover which is great, filters out the crowd. Only thing missing was good food.

As a newcomer to Canada looking for a good place to hangout, I stumbled upon The Bower online and I decided to go there.On getting there, I went to a table, sat down and was expecting someone to attend to my request but no one seemed to bother for almost 30mins till I was forced to call out to them.Few minutes later, one of the ladies in there brought a Tag bearing "Reserved" to my table and dropped it without even acknowledging the presence of a being already in that space.Afterwards, a very cocky and arrogant man came to tell me that I'd be asked to leave once those that reserved the seats came by; I explained to him that the space I sat was the only seat without a reserve tag when I arrived and that I was already there before a lady put it there; his response in his words to me, ' It doesn't matter, once they come, you will be asked to leave'.I felt humiliated as I was spoken to like garbage all because I came to hangout with myself and calm my head..This is the worst experience I have ever experienced in my 30yrs+ existence on earth. I came with my money to spend and I get this level of insult? Never again!!!..

I came here for the first time from out of town last night. Great ambiance to the place, quite busy, though the bartender was genuinely so rude - I had my Amex card out to pay, and the bartender was so brusque and curt and informed me rudely that they don’t take Amex. Cool. I could tell this bartender was busy and I thought I would be patient for them and say my please and thank yous. I’m a bartender myself, it’s not hard to say “unfortunately we don’t take Amex” no matter how busy you are. Major turn off from ordering another drink

I had the pleasure of visiting The Bower this past weekend for a friends 40th birthday party and I must say it was phenomenal to see this place so busy and well attended. As a non drinker the bartenders and staff were super considerate to my needs and made me feel welcome the whole night. The room is very well manicured and has a very intimate vibe. The music was banging as I remember it 15+ years ago. Kudos to Blair and his staff for an amazing evening and wishing them continued success.

We showed up late in the evening, the place was packed with a $9 cover, DJ, and dance floor. Not quite what I expected from the photos and reviews I had read but the decor was great and the bartender whipped me up a Solidly good Tom Collins.I am excited to return at an earlier hour one day and try their more complex drinks.
