Always been a fan of what chef Downey was doing here. Love the use of Canadian ingredients, making them shine and sourcing from various regions. The space lends itself well to special events like weddings.
If you're looking for the next place you want to host an event/wedding I would 110% recommend The Butternut Tree.You will walk away with amazing memories, surrounded by incredible staff that treat you as family with the professionalism you're wanting. The food and beverages are Top Notch, planning was simple, enjoyable and well supported if I had any questions.This is the place you will truly want to relive the experience over and over again.

I really enjoyed Butternut Tree but I have to put 4 stars, here is why:1. I ordered a Beef Wellington with a poached egg for brunch. Wellington came out cut in half and it was raw, as you can see on a picture and one of the videos. I ordered it medium rare. I understand if they served it not cut that would be different story, but if you cut it and see that it is undercooked, you should not serve it. There were just 3 tables occupied at that time, so it was not cooked in a rush....read full review
