We went for dinner last night and it was amazing. The service was perfect. Friendly , knowledgeable and helpful. The oysters are best in Edmonton. I hope they become a part of the menu not just specials. We will definitely be returning soon .

Disappointing dinner. Burger and fries were served cold and dry. Sent meal back and it returned slightly re-heated and even more dry. Almost inedible.

This evening we went to Glass Monkey. We hadn't been since before COVID. The last time that we went, we noticed the portions were getting smaller and the prices getting higher. The reason why we hadn't been in a while.Tonight we had French fries has an appetizer . Then tried the lamb shank and the pappardelle pork shoulder. The lamb shank was bland but it was saved by the tomato sauce. The pork shoulder was good but the gravy was really watery. My partner admitted they wouldn't order the pappardelle again. We enjoyed the fries most of all.In the past we had come here for the wine selection. So we usually order at least one bottle for our table. On this occasion it was entirely different. So at this point we accepted the fact the food wasn't near as good as it was in the past and way more expensive, but we figured you can't ruin a bottle of wine.Just before we went to get the wine menu, I turned to see the bartender blowing his nose in a tissue, no big deal. He then put the tissue a way, then proceeded to pick his nose with one hand then the other.Immediately after and without using hand sanitizer or washing his hands in the bar sink, he grabbed a glass and poured a fancy draft beer for the table next to us. At that moment I was caught in between being disgusted and leaning over and telling our neighbor what I just witnessed.Unfortunately for my neighbor next to us, instead we immediately decided not to order any wine or anything else for that matter. We asked for the bill and left.We are not telling you how to run your business but we won't be back.

I have visited this family owned business a few times, they do very good business for a reason! On this particular visit, we started with the Wild Argentine shrimp; it came with garlic bread for dipping, also had another of the feature appetizers - 16 hour Sous Vide Pork Belly. Both are highly suggested.Mains were the Tagliatelle Chicken Ascona and the Meat Lovers Pizza. The pasta comes with mushrooms, Prosicutto, garlic, tomatoes and parm, sauce is wonderful, pasta choice is great for this dish. The Pizza was also on point. A bottle of Gewürztraminer helped round out this pleasurable visit.Consistent service, comfortable and casual atmosphere always has me coming back!:-)Vegetarian options: Veg TagliatelleParking: its a decent sized mall lot

This is a really nice place, they were super busy and it was so loud in there I couldn’t hardly hear my friends but I’m not complaining about any of that as it’s nothing they can control :-) However, the food was delicious and I’m not complaining about that either! What I am disappointed in, is that they are way overpriced and I’ll tell you why. I ordered wings and potato skins as I wasn’t really that hungry, and while my friends got their food and they loved everything they had, I was shocked that 12 wings with barely any meat on them cost $20, and small to medium sized potatoes sliced up with very little trimmings on it cost me $16 I think? This is a gastropub, not a find dining place and I probably wouldn’t go again because we paid $100 for my partner and I to eat one meal which is so disappointing and frankly a ripoff when it wasn’t anything special happening with the two appies, not to mention that the meat was seriously lacking and it’s clear they’re trying to save money and make patrons pay more for so little. Nice.
This past weekend we celebrated my 60th birthday at The Glass Monkey with a party of 16 people. Working with them was great as they gave us suggestions on having some food and drinks for our guests as they arrived. This was our first time there and the food was very good. Our server was great as she kept everyone happy as she was on top of everything. The Glass Monkey made the night memorable for us and our guests. We will definitely be going back.

The Glass Monkey is the place to go for a romantic evening or any special occasion. Delightful atmosphere and affordable prices while maintaining top quality. Tonight we enjoyed the seared ahi tuna and the duck breast off of the seasonal menu. Both dishes were perfectly cooked with well thought out accompaniments, compliments to the chef! Service was friendly and accommodating with prompt delivery of the delicious meals. We will be coming back for sure!Parking: Large lot shared with many other establishmentsWheelchair accessibility: No inclines in the establishment
