When we went it was super quiet which was actually really nice. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! They even made me the fish and chips from the lunch menu even though it was dinner time. Would definitely come here again!

We went to Underground Tap House yesterday before the battle of alberta game and we had made a reservation for 2 people. When we got there, we waited several minutes before we were noticed by a waitress who was taking payment from a table nearby. She said “I’ll be right with you” and then she was not right with us and we waited several more minutes before a waiter came to greet us. No problem—I understand it can be crazy busy. We’re led to our table and look around, expecting a bustling restaurant, but most of the seats throughout the restaurant are empty. No problem—perhaps you’re understaffed tonight (although that’s weird since I assume you’re expecting business before the hockey game). Our waiter promptly brought us a menu to share and helped us pick a couple beers to start with, which were both great choices. Drinks came relatively quickly and tasted awesome. We ordered 3 appetizers to share: brussel sprouts, gnocchi, and steak skillet. It took about 20-25 minutes for the food to come out, which isn’t awful, and we had the time to order and receive another round of beers. The food came out and the flavours in each dish were actually quite good, but everything was cold. Like, even the skillet that the steak came on was cold to the touch. This obviously made the gnocchi an unpleasant texture, and the brussels with cold cheese sauce was less than delicious. We were prepared to tell the waiter our issues when he came back to check on us, except that he never did check. He walked back and forth past us and bussed empty tables and never did a table touch with us. As a server myself, this is quite strange as it’s expected that when the food comes out, you check with the guests to make sure everything is to their liking, so that there’s time to rectify any issues if necessary. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to wait for the dishes to be remade as it was already 7:40 and the game starts at 8. We kept eating the cold food so that we wouldn’t be drinking on an empty stomach, only to find a long dark hair in our steak. This obviously completely put us off and we had to go out of our way to get our waiter’s attention. He did immediately remove the dish from the table and off the bill but he was so in and out that we didn’t even have a chance to tell him the rest of the food was also unpleasant. Overall, the beers were great, the potential was there, but the execution was severely underwhelming. Perhaps some new training needs to be done to ensure this doesn’t happen to others in the future. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment as of right now.

I used to quite enjoy this place. My colleagues and I would go for beer and nachos after work every so often. Last time we went we found out that nachos were no longer on the menu except for lunch, so sadly we will have to find a new spot. The peanut butter stout is always a great beer choice though.

Me and the girlfriend went for dinner tonight and over-all I really like this place. My only real issue was a hair in my main course. I did send it back to be replaced. I just believe that should be automatically taken off the bill, more of a complaint against the management. Service was great, cider was excellent. The food without the hair was delicious. I will visit again.

Don't think I'd be coming back anytime soon.Reservation for 6 on December 29th at 645pm?First impression was it was kind of empty but the vibe was like a pub. We were seated by a woman who was dressed in what looks like pijamas... It was also a bit warm, with heat from the ceiling vent pouring down.?Our male server at first seemed pleasant but I quickly realized that he was very impatient and short with our group. Initially only four of us were at the table waiting for the other two but he only gave us three menus, one per couple. That was strange I had to wait to look at the menu. And the menu itself was very limited.?When taking our drink order, I selected a 16 oz beer, but then I inquired about ordering a flight of beer and the server told me it was a better deal and cheaper to get the 16oz. Strange because I wanted to order a flight and the beer, seemed like the server was trying to talk me out of it. He wasn't really helpful with the beer selection either.? Ordered tuna tacos as a starter, other party members ordered the focaccia. The tacos were delicious but the focaccia was a rip-off. 9.00 for 6 pieces of bread. We ordered a second order of focaccia because it was so small. That's $18 for bread.? My husband ordered the ribs and he asked the server what sides were included and the server didn't know. He fumbled and just said assorted vegetables...For my main I ordered the duck breast. It was mediocre, served on a messy plate with overcooked green beans and carrots. It was $30 dollars, and my server gave me a butter knife to cut it with...? The server asked if anyone wanted desert, I said a dessert menu would be great to look at. As I was visiting with my other party members the server dropped the menu off and I didn't realize. Then he came back to ask if I was ready to order and I said I hadn't looked at the menu and he was very short with me and said I dropped it off 5 minutes ago... I ordered the creme brulee. Nothing wrong with it.??‍♀️Overall for a restaurant that boasts about having awesome beer selection I would expect the servers to be helpful with that selection. Also the appetizer menu can be a lot more suited and paired with the beer.I would not recommend this establishment for a dinner party. The dinner menu is overpriced and underwhelming, lacking service and even proper utensils. You would get better value for your food and service dining somewhere else.

We decided to dine here for our anniversary dinner because we really liked the menu and had previously enjoyed some items at taste of Edmonton. We made reservations because we wanted to be sure we got a table. We were a little surprised we were sat close to the serving station and kitchen but overlooked it. Our waitress was new and unfamiliar with the menu which made ordering difficult. My first drink came out completely wrong and the two different cocktails I ordered were both missing ingredients. Right away a problem table overshadowed our experience. The server forgot to bring out my partners starter and only brought mine until we asked for it after waiting 10 minutes. Another staff member was frustrated with the new girl and kept complaining loudly to other staff that they could do the job better, was frustrated with and kept saying they were ready to commit murder, and loudly complained the new girl was not using their proper pronouns. I think that other staff member forgot that they should be behaving in professional manner infront of customers as we certainly did not enjoy that unprofessional behavior overshadowing our entire meal. Only topped by overhearing the new girl complaining because of the other staff member and the bad table. My partners steak came rare when he had asked for it to be medium. My cake came out so frozen I couldn't even get a spoon through it. Portion sizes were very small, however I do understand food costs are exorbitant now. Our meal came out to just under $200 for two people and really at that cost I would expect a more upscale enjoyable experience. The cherry on top to this experience was giving feedback to the business privately via their website about these issues and getting zero response. The food was ok above the errors but I doubt we will be back and I would not recommend.Dietary restrictions: Vegan options available on all parts of the menu.

It's a pub without pub food. Brussels sprouts? Beef Stroganoff? Who created this menu? Here's an idea: burgers and nachos. Super dated decor. Weird menu. Slow service. Dead atmosphere.Wouldn't go back.

Decent beers, menu mediocre. Any establishment that doesn't have a beef burger doesn't bring my business or any of my friends. Bring a burger and perhaps more pub food and this will be my pub of choice.

Went last Monday evening. Had to make reservations for a restaurant that had 8 people in it when we got there. Was seated and was explained the menu then nothing for 25 minutes! When the server returned she apologized and said they forgot about us!Ordered beers (excellent) got them 8 minutes later. Ordered food 15 minute wait, not too bad. Watched a single customer come in and get seated, served, and finished dinner in 25 minutes!Good food, good beer, not a fan of the service.

This was for a private event but it was a great experience. The food was specially selected and paired with beers. The service was excellent. I'll have to go back just for a beer and see how it stacks up.
