Rather than gorge ourselves on an excessive amount of food, we decided to split a hamburger, along with its accompaniments, add an additional salad (the beet salad) including a bottle of San Pellegrino. Adequate, satisfying and delicious.

Booked a table here during Downtown Dining Week as we wanted to try something new. When you are looking at it from the outside it doesn’t look like much, however when you enter the tiny doorway you are welcomed by a warm atmosphere and the amazing smell of steak being cooked over a wood fire. Our waitress, Pamela was superb and allowed us plenty of time to enjoy each course without any rush. The first course, the caramelized Brussel sprouts were amazing! I’m already making plans to bring my mom to try them! The steak frites were delicious, seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection. We ended up having to take the sticky toffee pudding home as there just wasn’t enough room, but it made a great breakfast the next morning! Definitely would recommend, and a special thanks to Pamela for her outstanding hospitality!

Great cocktail bar with delicious wood fired food. Very unique menu and fine laid back but attentive service. Top quality establishment. It should move to Calgary,

I like the bench seats. Somehow made Brussel sprouts taste good. Good drinks and great food. Friendly service.

Had a gift card so went all out with our meal. The market cut of beef was an 8oz ribeye. Everything was nicely seasoned. The lavender drink was refreshing. The sticky toffee pudding was delicious. It is a bit pricey overall but at least the meal and service was great.

It had been quite some time since we last visited Woodwork and this visit stands as a reminder as to why we haven't visited in a few years. We had reservations for dinner prior to attending an event. Our reservations were for 5:30 and our party trickled in between 5:20 and 5:45. We were promptly seated but then spent quite some time before someone came to take our drink orders. Once we ordered, it seemed to take some time before our glasses of wine were poured and brought to our table. We spent most of the time looking at our server's back while we waited as he stood at the bar speaking with other staff members. Our food order as well was quite slow. We placed our orders of small plates and one meal and finished our wine while we waited. Although our glasses were empty when our food was finally brought to the table over 45 minutes later, no one asked if we would like another drink. While we were waiting, a server brought one of the small plates to the table, then quickly scooped it away, thinking that they had the wrong table with no apologies.I understand that there can be a lot happening on a Friday night, but staff should be prepared for this as many events are posted months in advance. Our server often seemed confused and never checked on us after we received our food. The table sitting next to us also commented that they were unimpressed and that their food arrived cold. Disappointing!Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp leads into the street-level restaurant which makes it easy to get into. However, you would likely have difficulty maneuvering between the entrance and the restaurant's inner door. Once inside, it's quite crowded when the restaurant is full which could lead to difficulty getting to the bathrooms but each of the single-person bathrooms do have a good size and layout.

My husband and I had such a wonderful Valentine's day here! The food was sooooo good. We are actually obsessed with their brussel sprouts. Staff was super friendly, quick, professional, and accommodating (we were late). Highly recommend.

Rancid meat!We sat down with the most amazing bartender we ordered the market price steak at 75.00 as soon as it came out we smelt the worst smell ever, as we tried to cut into it, we couldn’t. Our first bite went into our mouths and both of us almost vomited it was the worst meat we have ever experienced. We would not be writing this but the manager or owners did not even come over to apologize or talk to us as soon as we returned our rancid meat we were treated like garbage. My husband is currently sick now in the bathroom!

Drinks were excellent and quickly made, but food was just okay and took longer than expected. Salmon was flavorless, broccolini was undercooked, and neither went well with the risotto. Service was friendly, but hard to find.

Love this place. A top date night location for downtown. Me and my girlfriend are trying to do a tour of the best charred brussell sprouts in the city and this is in the top three for sure.

I don't ever write reviews good or bad, but the restaurant came highly recommended by a friend I trust. The service was good and Brussels sprouts appetizer was great. Unfortunately the two 70$ NY steak specials arrived at our table slightly overdone and definitely cold. We were leaving for another engagement so could not send them back....very disappointing given what I was expecting.
