Respectfully, without my friends recommending this place I wouldn’t have found the best Japanese Restaurant with the best food in Town, at least for me. You might start to think that with the small venue they have, how are they able to expand soon (They have a new place called “Nishiki” in the old spot of the previous Fuji Restaurant in Fort McMurray)? It means, they are doing something right. The food is amazing with the right taste and flavour, we always came back; additionally, the service is phenomenal, they show proper care and respect towards the customers. Two great recipes for a restaurant’s success.-John

I have been coming here for close to 20 years now and Yoshi’s is easily the best Japanese food in town with service to boot!I have never left disappointed from some deep fried spicy tuna rolls or udon soup. The sushi combos have variety, always fresh and that mural on their wall is something else!I cannot recommend this place enough!!!

DISAPPOINTED!Upon walking in, I met a server who had a very unwelcoming facial expression and overall customer service. I waited 15mins or more for the food to arrive. I wasn’t even offered water. The food finally arrived and it was really bland. I ordered the chicken Udon soup and it did not taste fresh, the noodles and soup were completely disappointing as well.It takes a lot for me to take the time to write a bad review. But for the food to be this bland such customer service is unacceptable and should not be tolerated (As reflected on the tip). I would have tipped less but I understand the current state of the economy.I hope these get improved on incase I ever do return.

I ordered the shrimp fried rice for lunch and it was disgusting. The fried rice tasted like raw rice, not like normal fried rice. The rice is absolutely way undercooked and underseasoned. Horrible experience.if i could give 0 stars i would. i wont go back to Yoshi restaurant again.

Should you visit do order the Yeung Chow Fried Rice, and make sure to put lots and lots of Sriracha hot sauce in it to make it even more tasty. The servers are very polite and friendly, and even though the seating is a bit tight, it isn't so tight that you feel you have no privacy as long as you keep your voices down at your table. For a starter I would recommend getting their Miso Soup, it is absolutely delectable. And for some reason even if they give you a portion that looks like it'll be gone in a few seconds, it lasts much much longer than you first anticipate. Five stars all the way.And for those of you who do like it, they do have Wonton Soup, however I do not usually eat that so I don't know how good their Wonton Soup actually is.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options provided. For example Veggie Tempura.Parking: It is located in an area where there shouldn't be a problem finding parking either right next to the building or thereabouts.

One of the best restaurants in town! If you like sushi, this Japanese couple (? I could be wrong) make great sushi for you. If really want me to say something for improvement: might decrease salt a little bit ?

This is my favourite place for the mango tango rolls! I have been coming here for years and I find that the service is always excellent and the atmosphere is relaxing and quiet for the most part. The staff is very friendly and they know my exact order when I walk in the door! Yes, it helps that I always order the same things, lol…The prices are very reasonable and the flavours are delicious! I am also very happy to see that it has survived the Beast, COVID and the flood. Well done Yoshi’s, you will always have a customer with me! I also tell everyone to come here if the want sushi)) Take out service is always done quite quickly over the phone and is ready when I arrive.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options here.Kid-friendliness: They have booster seats for the younger kids.Parking: Around 30 parking spots in the area.Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk access, but might need a person to hold doors open for the wheelchair.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free if needed.

Such a cute and cozy little restaurant. I stopped by on my day off from camp to have some real food. The waitress was very nice and all of the food was very fresh. I had wonton soup and the lunch bento special. The wonton soup tasted like they used the meso broth, but everything was very delicious. A little pricey, but I would definitely eat here again.Parking: Limited immediately outside the door, but wouldn't be an issue.
