My wife and myself went for supper at THE 1947 last night. We were attended by TASHA who helped us navigate the menu and food choices; this was our first experience with east Indian restaurant food. We had Channa Salad, Murgh Dum Biryani ( Mild ), 1947 Butter Chicken ( Mild ), Jeera Rice, Garlic Nan, Masala Tea. If you are new to east Indian food and other than having exposure to spicy Mexican, Thai, etcetera we would recommend starting with "mild" spice level; definitely hot enough for us seniors..lol. Everything tasted fresh, spicy, and, well cooked. The amount of serving for us was more than enough and we took a fair amount home. I cannot speak to the issue of how "authentic" the food is or is not since we dont have alot of experience with eating at different east Indian restaurants or east Indian homes. The restaurant was clean and the tables and chairs were in good condition. The service at the table from time of ordering was quick; o.k. it was Sunday night and not too many clients there. We would definitely recommend this restaurant; try it we dont think you will be disappointed. Oh..the restaurant has a website with menu showing and there are vegetarian dishes in the menu choices...good number of them actually.

This was my first time here, and I was blown away by how good the food was! The owners were extremely friendly, and the service was fantastic. In speaking with one of the owners we could really feel the passion and commitment that he and his business partner share in providing excellent quality authentic Indian food and amazing service. They even have a "milder" selection, and vegetarian options those wanting it.

We just came in for our first time and the food was just fantastic. I don’t have a lot of experience with Indian food, but everything we ate was delicious. The space is open but warm. We’ll definitely be back.

Went for my wife’s birthday dinner. 100/10 food. Service was fantastic. Atmosphere great. Portions are very large. Make sure you’re really hungry or have a friend to share with!We were a party of 4. We got butter chicken, black pepper chicken, tikka masala chicken, and the chicken biryani. 10/10 on all 4 dishes. We also got some onion rings, butter naan, and garlic naan. The onion rings were gone first. Amazing. We brought one little piece of naan home, with 1/2 the butter, black pepper, and biryani chickens. All of it reheated well in the microwave. Even the naan (drape a nicely damp paper towel over it.)Overall? If you have not tried this place yet, go now. It’s all amazing.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options! Fantastic for those who need it (I’m not one of them, but figured I’d let those curious know!)Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant portion is fairly accessible. The bathroom might be a bit of a problem.
