The food was incredible! I highly suggest ordering the salmon! You will be amazed! I cannot believe we have a restaurant this outstanding right here in the Hat! Superb all around! Will definitely be recommending this place to everyone I know!

Even without the patio ( which we thoroughly enjoyed all summer) the Mezz is by far simply the best eatery in the Hat ; the variety on the menu prevents choice fatigue and the quality of the offerings is consistently excellent. The gnocchi is superbly done and the meat dished perfectly done and seasoned to perfection , especially the chicken cordon bleu and the butter chicken. The bartenders are excellent (great martinis and wonderful white sangria) ; the serving staff polite , attentive and knowledgeable and the venue always clean and attractive. A final word on their chocolate fondue - YUM!

Four of us enjoyed dinner before leaving for the theatre. Three of us hadn't been here for a while, one was new here. Each of us enjoyed our dinner selections and quality. Service was very good, noise level good (5:00-7:00 on Thursday), timing very good.

Didn’t have the greatest experience here. Came with a long time old friend and really wanted to try the alfredo! There was about 2 tables in the restaurant, hostess was extremely nice and professional but after we were seated we were not helped. Watched bartenders and servers walk past us and didn’t ask for drinks once. Finally someone comes over, and all she does is grab another server. Ended up going elsewhere downtown!

Service was warm and friendly. We sat on the second level overlooking the street. There was a large electric fan running to keep the area cool. It was a little noisy but didn't take away from our experience. The waitress was wonderful, didn't come to much or too little. When I reserved a spot I let them know it was for our 42 anniversary and they recognized it as well as catered to it by placing us away from the crowd. The food was excellent, hot and tasty! The downstairs stairs area looked wry nice, clean and inviting. Thank you for making our evening special.

On arrival I had to wait 5 minutes for someone to greet me, even though it was extremely extremely quiet. After being attended to by the server at our table, the server asked if we minded settling the bill as she was going off shift. I believe this was around 4pm. From 4pm until after 6pm when we left, we were NOT approached once by ANY server to ask if we would like anything. Sat there for over 2 hours with no drink, not even water was offered. Extremely poor poor service on this occasion.

We have been to the Mezz several times and have always had great food and experience. We visited this evening and when we received our bill at the end, I noticed the prices on the bill did not reflect those on the menu (menu on the website as of this evening still has the old prices listed). When I brought this to the server's attention,she explained that there was a "little" increase in the prices that she neglected to mention when we arrived AND when we ordered. Yes, the server apologized, but I don't think a $10 increase for the Short Rib is "little". This was a $16.50 difference on our entire bill. Our server provided the "Friends and Family discount of 15%" which didn't cover the entire difference, but appreciated nonetheless. They should not be charging the newer prices without new menus in my opinion. We will not be back.

The food and service was great, as usual. The disappointment came when our bill arrived and it was significantly higher than the menu prices. No mention of the increase was made until the server was questioned on the discrepancy. The server apologized and attempted to make up the difference by giving us a 15% friends and family discount. That was appreciated. Unfortunately, we will not be back due to the significant increase.

Love your restaurant, the food is fantastic. Friendly servers but after our food was delivered the server was awol and we couldn't track her down to pay the ticket. I waited 40 minutes to hopefully pay for my meal but had to leave when our server was still no where to be found. My friend stayed and paid for me.
Friendly service, great room and ambience. My veggie burger was excellent. I'd like to see more interesting beers on tap, only a couple local brews and there are so many great local beers.

We're in The Hat for our son's wedding & just across the bridge we discovered this gem of a restaurant which also happens to be steeped in History. The 4 level building has many options. The restaurant is very comfortable with excellent service, food, beverages & seating selection. We visited twice in 4 days. Our fantastic waitress Capri took very good care of us. Friday appetizers included: Kids Margarita Pizza, Greek Bruschetta, Pork Gyoza, Calamari. Entrees: Fried Chicken Burger, Candied Salmon Salad, Seafood Gnocci, Korean Chicken Burger, Fish & Chips & the very best Montreal Beef Dip I've ever tasted!Drinks: Pitchers of White Wine Sangria & Strawberry & Cucumber Mojito, Blind Man Pale Ale Pints & Guiness. Monday Appetizers & drinks delivered by our wonderful server Tilley:Chicken Wings 3 flavors: Teriyaki, Buffalo, S&P,Pork Gyoza, Calamari, Bacon Wrapped Beef Steak Ends, Korean Popcorn Chicken, Chorizo Meatballs, Greek Bruschetta. All accompanied by 2 White Sangria Pitchers, 3 Pints Mex Blonde,3 Pints Blind Man New England Pale Ale,2 Caesars, 2 Honey Whiskey Sour, 2 pints Stella.Kids Pizza + OJ. Stopping over 1 night in Medicine Hat on a west coast road trip. This is my notion of a great restaurant: Great Food, Great Service, Great Venue. We had braised short ribs which were tasty and succulent. Our server, Taya, could not have been better. So friendly, knew the menu very well, was happy to make recommendations; simply the best. And to top off a great dining experience Taya arranged for us to have a tour of the historic building with the owner Don. Top to bottom. Lounge in the basement and event room upstairs.My wife said if she were to get married again (hey what?!?) she would definitely have her wedding in this beautiful venue. This is an established that has been very well executed. Great job! and Thank-you.

This place has the best pictures of anything you can think of in town. My favorite is the strawberry mojito. Beautiful decor, fantastic food, I recommend the charcuterie board. Great place to visit in the summertime on the patio. I highly recommend! Sidenote Jax is a fantastic bartender!
