Didn't have time to review Top's yet.Before I left for Europe for a spell, I would have said that Top's Pizza (very specifically the Crestwood location) was the BEST restaurant in town, for almost any occasion.Between Hats next door, I am unsure who is best...Back to Tops...I mean you can get a killer steak, as in a REAL steak and walk out real happy.Heck, years ago me and my friends hung out in the bar, you can even get lobster tail here, which we DID order it was smashing. Who doesn't want lobster tail in a bar?But...the pizza...nobody else I know of makes their pizza like Top's.Their pizza is so different, likely the best crust on earth.You can get anything you want on it, and the chefs will make it good.It's pizza is worth trying, any toppings, you will not be disappointed.Come here for:-Classy date night - reservations available.-Taking your family out for a nice dinner. You will impress everyone.-Impressing your prospective new boss-Nice atmosphere in the bar, it's got a great volume.-Seriously guys, date night.Best pizza in town, easy-in its cost bracket. This is not a 2 for $19.99 restaurant.Look up their pick up special, definitely worth it.Nobody else puts such effort into preparation of the food.Hats and Tops are in some magic zone of food perfection.ANYONE visiting Medicine Hat should absolutely try either of these restaurants.They represent the City as Classics.Tops closes relatively early so order accordingly.I would not recommend getting taxi delivery however. They are known for...not being great...

Please stop making the frozen pizzas. They are terrible quality, and give the restaurant (which I'm sure has great, FRESH food) a bad name.

I'm sure the restaurant and the fresh food is decent, but the frozen pizzas available at Safeway are terrible quality. Wont be buying those again, very disappointed.

Service was slow, good took forever to come out. Had to ask twice for more water and the waitress barely came to the table.

IT IS A STEAKHOUSE THAT DOES NOT HAVE STEAK!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really? Arrived at the restaurant after a quick read of the menu online. Assumed that a steakhouse would have steak - so I only skimmed the menu for lasagna. My husband wanted steak - no brainer - it's a steakhouse right? OH NO - "How do you call yourself a steak house and have NO STEAK!!!" But it gets better, we were given a 35 minute wait time, which is fine, but in reality it was 55 minutes. Fine Get the brown bags back to the hotel - no napkins- no cutlery - no salt and pepper. A steakhouse with no steak?

Really good pizza. We just got pepperoni pizza and it had lots of flavour. The crust is light and great texture. Staff and driver were super friendly.

Visiting from Regina, this is definitely some of the BEST pizza in Medicine Hat. It's the the thicker style with cheese on top those from Sask, particularly Regina will be used to. If your local, or visiting, gotta go her for your pizza.

When you drive to this restaurant on Dunmore Road in The Hat, you will note that the restaurant changed their name to Top Steakhouse. Well, it is a topsy-turvy world that they live in as they would fail if they were only a steakhouse. Our party of four decided that this place was quiet enough for us to get caught up. Well, we were right about that, as there were only two other tables on this Monday night. "Small town", I said to myself. Our waitress was gracious enough to give us the space to chat prior to pushing us to order (we arrived at 5:30 and the place closes at 8). We did order drinks, and my draft was flat. She was confused as why as when she poured it, as it foamed up a lot so she put it in the fridge until it calmed down... It was replaced with a bottle of beer (oh, and they did not have any Canadian!). I order the Steak Neptune that was an 8oz striplion that was to come with crab and shrimp in a Bernaise sauce. The steak was at the right temp, but it was flavourless and less than 1/4 inch thick. the crab was that imitation crab meat, and the shrimp were the canned cocktail shrimp. The bernaise could have been a cheese sauce. The rest of table order a pizza, seafood penne, and the fettuccini Alfredo. The pizza was great. Crust was crisp, the sauce was flavourful and well balanced, and the pie was cooked to perfection. The seafood penne was inhaled and my guest just went on and on on how much seafood there was. The fettuccine was OK, not much of a mushroom Alfredo sauce, but pleasant. So, how could they go so wrong on the steak? My understanding is that the place has passed through many hands over the pandemic, so I will write this renaming of the restaurant off to over zealous marketing that did not keep up with the quality or what was being offered. However, I will not eat here again.

I would like to thank the great staff at Tops Steakhouse for having our party for my wife it is a great place to have a get together for family and friends and they have a brunch like no other amazing service and food! Would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great restaurant! Thanks again and we’ll done!

The food was delicious! I was very happy with the food selection and prices. The servers were so friendly and myself and my five great old has a great time. I had the pepper steak and we had some pizza as well. Everything tasted fresh and well made. We were with some other people and even though we were a pretty big group the food came quickly.
