Highly overpriced. Shared toadstools which was 19$ and both of us had the steak sandwich with mashed potatoes, which was mediocre at best. The total came to over 90$. The steak sandwiches were 35 each. Could have gone elsewhere and gotten a really good steak sandwich and the bill would have been at least 20 less. Disappointed with the food and the overpricing. The service was good at least, but not good enough to make up for it.The total bill had no drinks on it as we had water.Will not be returning

The Toad 'N Turtle was a random choice that will be a new favorite when traveling through Red Deer. The atmosphere is unique, the service is amazing, the food was good, and the prices are decent. We had the brisket grilled cheese, Caesar salad, and toad stools (stuffed mushrooms). Toad stools are a must-have! The only suggestion I could make is that the music should be bardcore, to go with the medieval theme. Great place I highly recommend.

I’ve been coming here for several years but tonight was the best. The food has always been consistent and top notch flavour. The prices are very reasonable compared to other places. I think this is the joint me and the boys are gonna come to from now on. The server we had tonight was worth every penny. Had a hiccup with the old fashions but drive er in ya! whoever your chef is deserves a raise to.

My wife and I love to make a little road trip to here from Edmonton. The brisket grilled cheese sandwich never disappoints. Their gravy is a must have and they always have a great selection on Tap. Highly recommend for any time of the day or evening.

We had supper with family and well we waited well over a hour as other got served, and the food was so dry and bland, the brisket special was so dry, nachos we asked for no peppers and got peppers and very little cheese, fish had no taste at all, people got up to leave during our visit because lack of service.
