It's a type of whole in the wall bar I justso happen to be looking for a last minute place when I got off from the rail for a cocktail and something quick to eat and the Google maps chose this as the the first place so I went and every now and then I go back.

Forensic files did a story about a lady that was drinking here and well, you know what happened to her!

Well, this is been a fun visit. Lots and lots of locals in here, they all know each other, and they are all having a great time. I got to hold the kitty, and pet the puppy. Had the BBQ wings & they were yummy.

Walker was an amazing bartender. His skills were way beyond the. At, even though we loved it all the same. True craftsman of his art. Amazing bartender.

Solid dive bar, if you just want a beer and to hangout, maybe play darts or pool it's worth

So ive gone to this bar since I was 21, things have gone down hill, male bartender adds tips into drink prices, female bartenders 1 was cool for a few times then she turned really two faced pretty fast conversations started out fine and then blam lol, then female bartenders 2, looks at me like a bug because I walk into a bar to socialize for a few doing my business down town, tells me she's leaving and she'll take my order when she comes back when i was 100% clear on my reasons being in the bar, this bar has gone down hill.

I mean, sure you can go to all the tourist bars with all the summer warriors, or you can just go to the real deal. This place. The gin and tonic was with craft gin. V good. Limited menu when they’re serving out but that’s not why are you come here. The bathrooms are spotless and Walker, the Bartender, could not be more personable and welcoming to me as an out of towner.I come here every single time I’m in Anchorage. Why would I wait for a stool at the whiskey joint a couple doors down, that’s packed w tourists, when I can come here. Cheers to keeping it real.

I'm a tourist visiting alone and got sick of the horrors of the touristy restaurants....rolled in here and was looked after impeccably. Brilliant bar staff (Neil was a delight), excellent pizza, great beer, and even the bouncer was friendly - loved it, my favourite Anchorage haunt.

Tourists beware!!!! Bartender gave himself a tip from my debit card on top of the cash tip I gave! The bill was $21.50 my bank statement reads $26.25 He refused a receipt said it was down! I came in roughly around 4:30pm Saturday. got a double of crown and a long neck. Watch your cards. Pay cash only. Shady establishment!

Visited from out of town, and Avenue Bar brought comfort in spades. The owner was incredibly courteous, and the atmosphere felt like serenity. Pool is free, food is good, and it's relaxing being able to find a queer-friendly bar.

Busy and loud with lots of locals and regulars wouldn't recommend for a quick drink but we'll worth a stop on the pub crawl
