Even though it feels like every other shop is dying and leaving the mall, 5th Avenue Deli has stayed strong. I remember in years gone by the owner/operator would stand behind the counter shouting "Cheeseburger, cheeseburger! Halibut, halibut!" My family still randomly says that to each other. Good memories.“
“This store is conveniently located not too far away from Costco and REI. In preparation for our adventure in the Alaska wilderness, we stocked up on a wine opener and some essential snacks at this location. As at Costco, our wine opener had to be paid for at a separate cash register.“
“As a McDonald's alternative, I enjoyed the food and friendly service at this spot. I got the pork sandwich was a great portion for the price, great ratio of filling to bread, and it kept me full! It's not a goopy mess where the bread falls apart before you even get it up to your mouth, which is a plus. You can actually taste each individual ingredient in the sandwich, you're not overwhelmed with just meat. The next time I'm here I'd be excited to try a salad or breakfast burrito.“
