The lunch buffet is back and as yummy as ever! I’ve been a fan of Mexico in Alaska since the mid-80s. Great food, great service, wonderful owner. Try it!

This place was disgusting… the food was gross. The table next to us, left a full plate of food and just walked out. All of their chips and waters were out on every table, and not fresh. The service was terrible, as well. They had soft piano jazz music playing at a Mexican restaurant… it felt like a funeral.

My dad raved about this place from years ago. His favorite restaurant. We walked in during dinner hours on a weekend. We were the only people there. We were sat at a table that already had salsa chips and water at it. Waitress checked the pitcher and it still had a few small icecubes floating so she was like meh... its ok? Overly prepared or did someone else walk out We don't know. Taco shells were store-bought and heated in the microwave (they dried hard super fast) Anyways it was super disappointing.

This place is amazing. The mole is delicious. I had the cactus dish and it was one of my favorite things I have eaten lately! Save room for the flan!

Sad to post a 3 star because I used to love it here! Seems much more run down and they stopped doing the lunch buffet :( I asked if they were going to bring it back and she said maybe later. Service was nice and friendly as always. The food wasn't great unfortunately, very very stale chips. Hope they can get things back to the standard!

They have really awesome Mexican food at a reasonable price for the region...Vegetarian options: They have a lot of vegetarian options to show fromKid-friendliness: If you prefer family style the meal portions are large enough to cover you and your kid.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available as well
Mexico in Alaska is a hidden, very tasty gem. They use whole, natural foods without any chemical additives. They combine these natural ingredients to create delicious dinners, such as my favorites: enchiladas with a delicious chocolate mole sauce, and the tacos de carne asada. I appreciate that this restaurant is locally owned and operated and the service is always genuine and humble. I also like the comfortable booths, and I forgot to mention the lime juice ice tea is spectacular!

Food is not authentic. Staff is rude especially the old lady there running the show. Go to Serranos instead ?‼️??

The quality of food you will find here is very very sub par and honestly I'd put as nearly disgusting, you will likely leave feeling conned/ripped off , also they impose a gratuity on you which isn't a big deal but honestly it's probably because you feel scammed when you eat here why would you want to tip????If you like ordering food with slivers of meat and beds of lettuce come give this place a try !!

The taxi driver recommended it, but it turned out they weren't open yet. The wonderful owner took pity on me and fed me anyway! Best salsa I've had in months!! Thank you!
