Solid sandwiches, generous portions and located near Glacier Bowl if your party has different food preferences. Also has a coffee shop just next door. Perfect quick spot to stop!

Amazing! The food is unique, hand crafted, delicious, and the service is excellent. It's definitely worth a stop. It's comfort food esque but think rhubarb infused butter saucy halibut with fresh jalapenos in and lemon nestled in decadently soft but crunchy bread. We ate it all and will be coming back for more another day.

Really, really yummy. Very creative menu and options for all diets. And you can eat it inside at the coffee shop next door or out on their deck. I hope this place flourishes :)

This guy always comes to the place I work, but in my God. Best barbaque in Alaska , and best brisket I have ever had. I dont know what is in that coleslaw that he put on the sandwich, but I am addicted. What you pay for, is your next 5 meals

I got the polar dip sandwich, no cheese, and boy was it awesome. The roast beef was that perfect blend of being thick and juicy without being chewey, and the bread was super soft and warm - really just one of the best sandwiches I've had in quite some time. You can even add a soup for a few bucks more, which is a whole other flavor explosion in itself. Get this place to the top of your list cuz it's definitely made mine.

Polar Dip is probably the most amazing treasure find I have ever found in my travels around Alaska. The gentleman that serves up this AMAZING food knows his stuff. If you haven't gone down to grab soup and sandwichs from Polar Dip yet, I highly suggest that you do! I have had several of his sandwiches and soups and i rarely give a 5 star rating, but this guy is well deserving of it, so here you are! I look forward to my next trip into south Anchorage for another heavly bowl of soup and an amazingly crafted sandwich. My hat is off to you sir! Keep up this wizardry! Love it!

The food at Polar Dip is fantastic! You can tell a lot of thought has been put into creating a menu that provides a unique twist on staples. I have been three times and have yet to be disappointed in any aspect. The food is delicious, the service is friendly and prompt, and the price point is right on. You have the option of eating there at the stand, next door at the indoor coffee place, or taking it home. Definitely take the time to check this place out--it's a hidden gem for foodies!

How does this place not have any reviews yet? They are fantastic! He really has a fresh take on the food truck scene. His creations have a unique marriage of ingredients and flavor. Everything I've eaten here so far has been wonderful. He has a nice seating area or you can take your food into 12:100 cafe (in the same parking lot). I've also texted in an order, so easy and an immediate response before the lunchtime rush. Follow him on Instagram for the specials! Lemme see if I can get a menu pic up..

Been there three times since it opened about a week and a half ago. Everything is so damn good! The pazole is hearty and meaty, the vegan option was super flavorful and the signature Polar Dip Sandwich was piled high with meat. I got mine with grilled onions and peppers! Super fast and friendly service. So happy to have another quick option on Southside. An absolute win in my book!
