Egg Foo Young is close to my heart but not every place has it, not every place serves huge portions like this, and not every place serves it with American brown gravy. For those who enjoy this dish..one of the best I’ve ever had. For those who have never tried it, it is indeed an omelette with gravy on top served with rice. Nothing special about it but it’s nostalgic and delish for the ones that enjoy it. As mentioned before..portion is Huge! I’m not in anchorage much but this is my spot and this is my dish whenever I’m in town.

I am sensitive to MSG. Whenever I eat it I know that I've eaten it within about 15 to 30 minutes. I can not say for certain it was used, but something like it or another ingredient that has that in it was used. The food was really good, so if you have no problems with MSG or something like it eat away!

Picked up takeout around 7:30pm, was told 20 minutes and they were packaging up right around 30 minutes later as I walked in the door. Our order was Mongolian beef, sesame chicken - both sub fried rice, plus egg foo yung which I keep seeing but have never had. It's basically an omelette topped with gravy. Unsure I'd recommend. But the other dishes were fine for Chinese takeout and they have fortune cookies - which the kids love.

The food and service excellent! It's run down looking inside the dining area, needs a refresh. There was a drunk couple in there arguing which is no fault of the establishment but it really turned me off.

It would be five stars, but their fried cutlets are getting thinner and thinner and oilier and oilier

The service is unmatched by any other restaurant I have been to. The hours are slightly limited due to the duo super star husband and wife team only having 4 hands.Perfect service. Tea and soup before entrées. The entrées are made to perfection. My most recent order was cashew chicken which they don't traditionally make spicy. I asked for a spicy version and they were ready and willing to make it happen for me.I will continue coming to this wonderful restaurant as often as I can. I hope they never close.

One word: steak. Hands down the best steak in town. I know what you're thinking, "why would I order steak in a Chinese restaurant?" The answer is because it's going to be one of the best streaks you've ever had. I don't know what they do to these steaks, but they are like nothing else. I've tried them all, but their teriyaki steak is magic. Just trust me.

If you order prime rib it will be 5 star, they have it on Saturdays and run out.The company shared with family and friends 5 star. Update to win ton soup from any other. They have the choice of a bean sprout side that is tasty. Close early so make an early reservation.

Good Egg Foo Young. I’ve had a lot of Egg Foo Young the past 30 years. Rice Garden’s is very similar to the majority of egg foo young I’ve had in numerous States. Good portion served with the gravy and steamed rice.
