If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered two sandwiches- a Rueben on rye bread and a French Dip. Both sandwiches were served on soggy soft white bread. The sandwiches weren’t warm either.

Office ordered us lunch, to be delivered at a specific time.Order was 50 minutes late.I ordered the #27 - Chicken Bacon Ranch Sub Sandwich for $13.75.There is NO chicken at all, two thin undercooked pieces of bacon. 70% of the filling is shredded lettuce. And the roll is dry and stale to the point of being hard.Overpriced. Poor quality. Poor service.

Stopped in for one of their delicious eggsalad sandwiches.They were out of egg salad. Went back the next day with my daughter and was able to order my all-time favorite sandwich, egg salad!! And clam chowder too. Yum.

Been buying from Sara’s Sandwiches off Arctic since the mid 1980’s when I worked at Mountain View Sports Center, in Mountain View, where Sara’s delivered for free and it has been consistently excellent since. I do not think myself or anyone I know was disappointed by any sa which or salad they purchased there. An Anchorage Icon!

For years this was the premier sandwich place in town, at least in my opinion. I would've confidently put them up against anyone. I used to plan my days out knowing I could swing in for lunch. Their sandwiches and bread were always fresh, and their attention to detail when making sandwiches always justified the teeny bit of extra cost above their competitors. Most of all the service was always reliable. Years later though, while there are some aspects of the past that remain (customer service being a mainstay), the sandwich quality and attention to detail seem to have fizzled. The bread is still great, but I can't say the same for the rest of the sandwich. Keep in mind I've been a customer there for going on 20 years now. However, over the last several years I have drastically cut back eating there because of the changes. Every time I go back I tell myself this time will be like the old days, yet it seems I always end up questioning why I didn't just go somewhere else. Don't get me wrong they are still a better option than subway, but the gap isn't a fraction of what it used to be. Will I go back, I'm sure I will at some point. Will I plan my day around it and be excited about it like years ago, no. I hope that one day I can come back and change my rating from 3 to 5 again!
