Very nice! First time here and am wondering why. Service with smiles, great food, great beverages, clean, spacious, well decorated, lots of electrical outlets throughout and lots of natural light. Just finished a breakfast burrito and find myself not wanting to leave.

I come up to Anchorage often for work, stay down town. I normally peruse to Hotel Captain Cook from neighboring hotel and really enjoy their North Slope Breakfast burrito. It is pre made, they will warm it up for you and with a cup of coffee, by far the most affordable and tasty breakfast you can get in the down town area. The staff is always friendly. They have copies of the local newspaper for you to read, very clean eating area. I am a big fan. Keep up the great work The Cubby!

Great experience! Highly recommend if you would like a cordial environment to share a drink with a friend or you are in need of a solid space to get some work done. Friendly. Well lit. Massive worktable with convenient plugs. Dope music. Wine. Beer. Coffee. All in all, new favorite place. The staff is on top of things and the space is very clean and well taken care of. If I had a critique, I'd like to see it open until 9 or 10. A late-night coffee shop would be so marvelous in the downtown area. Finally, I will tell you a small secret: If you drive down K street a block or two away from the Captain, I am always able to find street parking.

I'm really kind of bummed. I was super excited to try the blue drink that was an energy drink. I didn't mind paying over $5.00 for it, but I watched as it was being made. The barista made the flavors and filled the cup with ice. She poured the drink in and when she couldn't get it all it, then took the cup and dumped out the top part of the drink versus taking some ice out. I was literally perplexed as to why she wouldn't take out some ice, but literally flicked the cup with drink into the sink and wasted so much of it, I decided I probably would buy those again for the cost. It seemed like an impulsive thing to do and was a reaction, but unfortunately, it was a costly one in these times. Especially for such an upscale place.

Inside the Captain Cook Hotel. Able to get a quick breakfast here - scones, bagels, coffee. Good start to the day.

The drinks and food options are okay and it is in a convenient location. But it is more expensive than the other coffee shops in the area for an average product. My order has also been messed up several times including having real milk rather than a milk substitute used.

The Cubby is a cute cafe inside of a hotel. The coffee and tea drinks are yummy here. Good customer service was good, place is nice and cozy.

Such a great coffee spot. Loved my caramel macchiato that was recommended by the sweetest barista, Elle. Will come back again when I'm in town.

Italian Wedding soup of the day (Weds) was amazing! Had a sore throat and this really hit home. Cocoa fabulous as well.

Food was good, I got a breakfast burrito and an apple juice. Burrito is pre made and heated in an oven, but is pretty crispy and tasty. Biggest issue were all the flies! There were a bunch just cruising around the tables. Other than that, not a bad spot for a quick early morning breakfast.
