Food was absolutely terrible. The $10 “Bavarian Pretzel” was tiny, dry and obviously microwaved, the Caesar salad was drenched in dressing, the turkey club creepy and cold and the fries were also dry and probably microwaved.

We were disappointed- the website shows wonderful views of beautiful Lake Hood as the hotel is located on the largest seaplane airport in the world. The view from our room was a wall from the building next door. It was over $900 a night for the room and the room was clean but we expected more. Ceilings are low and we walked for what seemed like 10 minutes to get to our room- a long way. Breakfast/lunch place was just OK — it was not very clean — the place has potential but again we were surprised for what we paid. Could have paid less money and found something just as nice.

We stayed here after a cruise and had a wonderful stay. Place is clean, room was perfect, ate at the restaurant…food delicious! It was a perfect place to stay outside of town and close to the airport. Thank you so much

We got dropped off from the train station not knowing what to do or where to go. The shuttle said Lakefront so I approached the driver. He called for another shuttle as this one was too full. Within 10 minutes the shuttle arrived and picking up our luggage. The front desk was very nice and accommodating. Rooms were clean and bed were comfortable. We stayed for their free breakfast...waitress was sweet and the omelets were top notch for being free. We had a table with a beautiful view of the lake. Shuttle took us back to the airport on time.

Excellent Anchorage stay- Cindy at front desk was charmingly helpful! Returning in a week for return flight home. Enjoyed happy hour and breakfast while viewing Mt. Hood seaplane base. Appreciated the complimentary shuttle service also!

This hotel was booked for us and I would not recommend it or stay here again. Although our room was booked early, we were given a room in the first floor that smells awful. The room - and the hotel in general - is sorely outdated and dirty. Other than the convenience to the airport and float planes, there is very little around here, particularly in terms of dining and entertainment. This was the last stay of our amazing trip to Alaska and was unfortunately it was not good. I wish I would have listened to the recent reviews and my gut and changed booking to somewhere else.

This was a great stay. The float planes flying in and out was a special treat for my plane obsessed husband. We walked around the float plane area and talked with some of the owners. The restaurant was good for supper and breakfast was some of the best we had our whole trip.

Looks better outside than inside. Old and worn out look. Replacement of carpets in corridors and rooms long overdue. Extremely small bathroom. Loud ventilator from the kitchen. Too close to the airport and woken up all night by departing jets. tried the breakfast room which opened 5 minutes late but as soon as I noticed some colored water - supposed to be coffee charged $ 4 plus tip -poured into a glass, we left immediately and drove to a nearby Starbucks. Look for another hotel. There are so many finer hotels in Anchorage.

Don’t listen to the negative reviews. We stayed here after a long fishing trip. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The lobby has some cool Alaska memorabilia. Bar had great views of the float planes coming and going and the service was excellent. We had a 4th floor room in which we could also see the float planes taking off and landing.

Amazing Hotel. It feels more like a lodge that promises pristine views of float planes taking off and landing on the lake from the restaurant patio and perimeter path. The restaurant provides Alaskan Cuisine for dinner, as well as a full service bar and traditional breakfast choices . Concierge options include holding and storing excess travel items, cold storage, and shuttle services if traveling to the city center or far off fishing and hunting destinations, outside the Anchorage area.

Hotel located on lake surrounded by float planes and near main airport which can be noisy. Limited view of lake from rooms. AC unit is loud. Breakfast package is great deal with hot meals and great service. Staff was to put microwave in our room but none there at check in and told we would have to wait until the next morning to get one. Required two more contacts in the morning to get one. Front desk staff not effective.

The food and atmosphere were amazing. We had appetizers and drinks, and we enjoyed them a lot. The service was non-existent for a while, and we ended up getting our own refills on water. Watching the planes was a lot of fun.
