HIGH QUALITY. I am not the biggest fan of this food, but the wife is, so we gave it a shot.. I ordered the old fallback "Mongolian Beef." THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I EVER GOT A FULL BOWL OF GOOD MEAT! There wasn't any gristle on that plate! I ate every last little morsel!

10/12- Many reviews warn that the service isn't the best. They're right. It isn't. The lady was arguing with two men when we walked in.In defense of the restaurant they have no help. Keep this in mind because we spent almost two hours. You walk in and they give you tea. We don't drink tea so we had to ask for water twice. The lady seemed upset. The food is delicious and worth the wait. Be patient and enjoy the flavor. The 4 ? on service is for acting like we were asking for too much. She gave all her customers dirty looks like it was never going to end. I hope she can get rest.

First time eating Korean food and it was simply delicious! We order a bunch of things that I couldn’t name lol but I got you some photos for reference. The place was quiet and calmed, plenty of space and the service was good. I would go back cause this place deserves you to try the whole menu.

The food here was absolutely great! My bf got the bulgogi and I got the dumpling soup. Both were super delicious along with the banchan served. Service was okay as the lady was super nice but just didn’t check up on us that often. I still recommend going!

Never thought there would be a Korean restaurant in Anchorage. Our Uber driver recommended this place over the other Korean restaurants around town. This place Iooked like an old school Korean restaurant. There was a decent amount of tables for seating. It started getting busy around 5pm on a Wednesday. Ordered the mandu guk (dumpling soup) and dwehji kimchi bokkeum (kimchi stirfry with pork or chicken). The food didn't take too long to come out. The lady brought out three bonchon first, and I was surprised with the different options. They definitely give you more than most places. The bonchon tasted fresh and crispy! The mandu guk came with about 6-8 dumplings. It was very filling. Soup wasn't bland and not overly flavorful. I think it was absolutely perfect, especially with the dreary weather. Mandu guk came with a bowl of rice, which paired nicely with the soup. I tasted the stir-fry pork with kimchi dish and it was flavorful. It had a nice kick to it as well. I would recommend checking this place out and would come back again!

Food was either too bland or too salty. Service was slow and rude. She kept commenting on my daughter, like rude comments, and I don't like it. She was in a hurry to kick us out even though the restaurant wasn't busy. We didn't stay long, only enough to eat our food. All around not a welcoming atmosphere.

VIP Restaurant serves authentic Korean food. If you’re a want my food fast, fast quick, quick. This is not the restaurant for you! The staff is small. Their focus is serving absolutely delicious Korean food.My daughter in law, the greatest in the whole wide world picked me up from the airport. The VIP Restaurant was our first stop!We ordered JapChae, Bibimbap #14, and Spicy Pork. An assortment of Korean Side Dishes ( Banchan ) was included with our meal. Each item was delicious and piping hot from the kitchen. We enjoyed a delicious meal and had leftovers to go!When you’re in Anchorage craving authentic Korean food and not in a rush, visit VIP Restaurant.

The food was actually pretty good here. The atmosphere is a little weird as you walk in you'll see a wall of boxes to the right. The kitchen also is in the dining area only separated by a makeshift wall. The server was probably busy but could use some help on the customer service side. But overall the food was served fast enough and tasted pretty good. Definitely hits the korean crave.

I tried this because a few people have recommended it.We (party of 2) were seated right away and after 7-10 mins we received our water and placed our order. No big deal. But a party of 4 that arrived 15 mins after us, placed their order 10 mins after being seated, received their whole order about 5 mins before us. Okay, I was a little annoyed but tried to give it much thought. It wasn't until we requested extra kimchi that I had a problem. Our server rolled her eyes and when she returned she slammed the bowl down before turning away. Every other Korean restaurant I've been has always refilled the banchan without us even asking.Once I got my box for my extra food, I was putting everything in it and the serve came over and started clearing off the table and dumping the leftover banchan in my box... I didn't request help with that.Lastly, their bibimbap is the smallest serving I've ever received... not worth the price at all.

VIP alway is one of my favorite Korean restaurant in town. Their food is very very tasty and right spiciness, I would avoid good service when they’re busy.

Easy 5 stars! We love this place for it busy atmosphere, delicious food and super friendly hostesses! It is quite busy during lunch and dinner hours, nevertheless we felt well taken care of. Everything was served on time, right tenderness and temperature. We could easily award 100 out of 100 start! Highly recommend!

Came with my family. Lack of flavor on every dish, the saddest thing is I think it’s my least liked Korean joint. 2 stores because the bathroom was clean and the waiter was OK. We came because I was craving kimchi and my hubby wanted to try it out. Our ban Chan didn’t even have kimchi!!! What kind of Korean place has no kimchi? I ordered spicy squid it was alright , different and not spicy but too salty .
