Excellent meals and service! Our table had an array of dishes and everyone was raving about theirs. The roasted chicken, the applesauce glaze pork chop, the halibut special, they were all just delicious. Definitely recommend!

Halibut tacos are delicious! Kirby was a great server. Very fun! Also, try the Kenai River!

Well. We went looking for brunch Sunday around 10:30 AM on the Sunny deck. Nope. No deck service until 11:30 and the breakfast buffet was over at 9:00. We ordered a Quartz Creek omelette and Kenai River breakfast sandwich in the dining room. Omelette was very good. Unfortunately the sandwich brioche bun had a very odd after taste- not edible. Very slow food delivery. Twenty minutes with five tables. Hats off to Jenna and Kyle who keep the coffee full while we waited. We have eaten here often and food and service are good and timely. Perhaps it was an off day

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rod & Reel, and it was truly an extraordinary experience. The customer service was exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff that went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. The food surpassed all expectations, with the best quality and taste. Moreover, the location of the restaurant added a touch of magic to the overall ambiance, making it an unforgettable dining destination.

Food was amazing. Staff was def a little unorganized. 2 tables that arrived 10 minutes after me got their entree before I got my appetizer. Sitting on the deck was amazing, overlooking the river and mountains.

We requested a table with a view and while they were initially empty in the restaurant, Bella intentionally sat us as far away as possible from a window. After watching about 3 couples sat at 4 tops by the window, we left in principle. So no reviews on food but service this morning was down right awful as none of the 3 other people we interacted with would make it right. It was all so very strange. Maybe we would have had better luck if we didn’t request it. I know it’s all very scenic but you can see from the picture all the couples by the windows. Yes it’s a pretty space just would have wished for similar treatment.

Had the best meals, service and atmosphere we have had in the past ten days here. They do attract a mature crowd. Our kids were the youngest by far. Staff were very attentive and paid close attention to allergies and made adjustments.Twelve layer lasagna was fresh and worth its value. Scallops were cooked perfectly and displayed beautifully. Salmon chowder was yummy. The beet, pecan, kale salad was delicious. The crème brûlée has a great texture and taste, good serving size. Lava dark chocolate, we added vanilla ice cream. We ate every last bite of everything! Our wonderful server was Rachel, she was perfect.Kid-friendliness: Have a kids menu and crayons. Only $6. My kids were the only ones in the place.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps

The food was absolutely the best food we had on our entire trip. The atmosphere and kindness of the entire staff was remarkable.

Saw great reviews and didn't realize that it was a cruise lodge. Our first indication of trouble was seeing the giant cruise buses in the parking lot. Since they shuttle the cruisers there, they can hold them hostage with prices through the roof and very little in the form of services (although, they were probably way understaffed when we stopped by).Five star views from the deck but $40 for a way overcooked small piece of halibut, a splatter of bland mashed potatoes and a couple pieces of (tasty) tomatoes is not justified even by Alaskan standards.

Smoked salmon chowder was great. The temperature could have been more warm. Blackened Halibut tacos were excellent. Views and setting are rustic remote wilderness very well done. Service felt rushed. Brought my check while I was still eating and hadn't asked for it.
