Good old fashioned cafe. If you like sourdough pancakes and hash browns and friendly service, this is the place!

I have always thought they had some of the best buttermilk pancakes anywhere. Love em!

We are new to Fairbanks, and wanted to try a local breakfast spot before we went kayaking. The hostess was very polite and prompt. Our waitress was abrupt and short. We ordered the special Northern Omelette and I asked for a side of salsa and sour cream. The cook is fast, and the food I would give a 4 out of 5. It is home style cooking and filled us up. However, never received the sour cream, was charged full price for the specials, and again our waitress was just very abrupt which lowered the experience for me. However, the dishwasher came and cleared plates and he was absolutely fantastic and engaging!!

First service was fast. Open seating- No covid spacing implemented.Coffe taste can improveOver all pricing for food is a little high for its value. Business analyst needed to improve business. Omelet was tasty 5Pancake was bad -1Hashbrowns 3Substitute black olives for tomatoes $1.00 extra. What??? Stake and eggs 4Pancake -1, they forgot the order. Charging time... The waitress charged $12 dollars more. When I asked for the detailed receipt she said that she charged $10 dollars more. After she came with a $10 dollar bill indicating that she can't void the card and the restaurant indicate her to do the sum without a calculator... what?I had to go to the counter and calculate the pricing with her in order to have the right pricing calculations. Another person cam to assist and she voided the transaction and gave me the correct one.

Stopped here for breakfast in September 2019, while I was in Alaska. Good food for a low scale place! Our waitress was very nice and even gave us suggestions on the menu before we asked

Ordered take out from here during quarantine (mid-May). Bad decision.I ordered the Denver Omlet with Sourdough pancakes, someone else in my party ordered country fried chicken, and someone else in my party ordered a burger. Bad decision.First of all, the customer service was rude (and were not wearing masks, gloves, no hand-sanitizer, etc. if you care about that). I asked for extra syrup, bad decision. The waitress literally scoffed and scowled at me before walking 10 feet to grab me another Smuckers Syrup packet. The burger literally had mold in the middle of it, in the tomato, and had to be thrown away. Bad decision.I attached the country fried chicken we recieved in the picture, and it was one small piece of chicken. Bad decision. In their defense, my omelet was actually pretty tasty. Good decision. However the pancakes were small and thin, and even a little soggy. But they tasted pretty good. Good decision. All the hash browns were flavorless and I didn't even eat mine because they were kind of gross. Bad decision.Going to Sam's right now? Bad decision.P.S. From one Sam to another; do better. You're giving Sams everywhere a bad reputation.

I came with my fiance to have breakfast. First off, my girl wanted to substitute black olives on her order for tomatoes and the waitress said it was going to be a $1.00 extra. Then the order took forever. In their menu they say that food comes with home fries and clearly they are not home fries. On my order, I had the fried steak and eggs. I cannot lie, the steak was ok, not bad. Pancakes were horrible, no flavor and saggy. People around us were complaining of not being helped. It was one mistake after the other. Our order was supposed to be around 34 bucks and we got charged an extra 10 dollars. Then the waitress says, she was sorry and comes back with a 10 dollar bill and says, she is not the head waitress and did not know how to void the transaction. Thanks God my girl was paying attention to detail. Honestly is going to be the first and last time. At the end the owner saw me taking pictures and talked to me about the history of the restaurant. The owner Bill was a cool guys, but he needs to get better workers and better his service.

I sometimes ate here when I was a student at the university. It's a little pricey, but not unreasonable. I enjoyed their breakfast items.

I really wanted to like this place. Staff was friendly enough even though we waited for a little while to get menus. Our food came out suspiciously fast. Our hash browns were not cooked all the way, yet were also partially burnt which tells me that the person cooking probably wasn't very experienced? Our waitress never came back to check on us, so I didn't get to tell her our food was under cooked. When I paid, the cashier asked how everything was and I made a face and said "eh, it was ok" and she was responded with "oh, well at least it's warming up outside!" I won't be back.

Something has change. It was horrible. Even the kids French toast was chewy. One had a hair under the toast. Chicken fried stake was way over cooked an very chewy. Won't be back

Great place for a no-frills breakfast. It's a seat yourself kind of diner place. Food comes out fast and hot. Good coffee too! It's very much a locals eat here kind of place.

Lady on the phone was rude to us. Then told us it would take 10-15 minutes for our order to be ready. Then ended up taking 40 minutes and when we called back to check on it she was rude again. THEN we got our food and it was missing 4 whole pancakes!! Very DISAPPOINTED. Only reason i'm giving it 2 stars is because the food we did get tasted good.

Waitress was nice. I stopped in because it was close to the laundromat and I was starving. Food was bland, gravy was a mess of flour lumps and had zero flavor. Hash browns were okay, crispy and had a nice crunch. Eggs were cooked perfectly. In order to eat the rest I had to drown it in salt, pepper, and hot sauce as you can see. I'd say save your money and make breakfast at home. Waitress was super sweet though and did a good job.
