Don't happy with the taste of the masa. I can make better masa with Walmart's cheap products then what they make.

So...I've yet to have the tamales from here. HOWEVER, I've known the owner for 22 years. Teresa is one of the hardest working people I've ever met, and a perfectionist. When I first moved to Texas, I didn't even realize tamales were a "thing". One Christmas I walked into Teresa's house and she and her daughters were making tamales. After they steamed, she put some on a plate for me. OH. MY. GOD. So, THIS was why Texas was tamales heaven!! I've loved them ever since! I'm now waiting for my friend Teresa to ship me some, so I can compare her new flavors to the traditional ones she used to make. One thing is certain...this lady could always cook! Austin's loss is Fairbanks gain!

Just tried tamales from Tamales R Us. They are excellent!! They are huge and stuffed full of filling. Easy to order. You can call in, text or order online. Owner was really friendly and said that she can do catering (perfect for team meetings!), large orders, delivery, and custom orders. I'm from Texas and travel to Fairbanks often for work/pleasure and it's so nice to be able to get quality Mexican food in this frozen tundra!! Will definitely order every time.
