“Best battered ling cod fish and chips and fried pickles (not pictured) I've ever had. The rockfish is also excellent, and although I can't personally vouch for the pastrami reuben I can say that my husband enjoyed it enough to order it again the next day.My dad used to treat me to lunch at The Boat Yard when I was a kid (in the '90s/early '00s) and it's such a fun and exciting (and nostalgic) location to grab a bite and check out the boats.“
“First time eating here. Beautiful view of the Chugach Mountains and Katchemak Bay.Food (Alaskan Cod) and sides all delicious. Attractive and attentive wait staff. Full service bar. A bit pricey @ $45.00 for a steak, but all good quality. Best tarter sauce I ever ate. Our waitress was very pretty and very good. I highly recommend it. The menu must change at different times of the year.“
“If you go to Homer, a Must place to stop, have a beer, and sign a dollar and hang on the wall as tradition. Best hole in the wall on top of the world as one local explained it to me. And I couldn't be happier that I stopped in and had a great time and even better memories!“
“I don’t have the vocabulary to describe the experience at this restaurant. The oysters, the cocktails, the views and service are some of the best I’ve experienced. The new ownership of this place have made this a must-visit every time I’m on the peninsula.“
“Sorry we slept on this place for so long. First time stopping in tonight and brought my family from out of town. We tried several different choices and everything was great. The chicken pesto Alfredo was fantastic and noodles were cooked to perfection. The burger was delicious, and topped with bacon that had a hint of maple and my son loved the pretzel bun. The Sunrise pizza sounded different but the flavors worked exceptionally well together and the crust was great. Out of town family had the fish and chips and differing versions of the pasta and had nothing but good things to say. Honestly one of the best meals in Homer.“
“I had the "Cattleman" sandwich. I honestly think it's the best sandwich I've ever had! In the words of Ellie Arroway from the movie Contact, "They should have sent a poet.." My words cannot express its sheer deliciousness.“
“I was out driving around on my stay-cation from Anchorage, and drove by this place quite a few times, to and from the spit. So for lunch one day I stopped in. The place was almost empty, but that made for excellent customer service and the usual chit chat between Alaskan types. From the outside it looks like a motel/hotel, but inside, once you find the hallways to the restaurant, and/or deck, it's a good size dining hall. The Beluga Blue, their blue cheese burger, and tots, were the prefect meal for a cool overcast day. Cooked perfect, and the bacon was delish, not too crispy for a burger! I wish I would have stopped in sooner in the week so I could try more menu items, but I'll stop in here on my next trip down.“
“Only draw back is their short hours and closed on Sundays. Last year had a tough time catching them open on Saturdays. Google shows they updated their hours 3 weeks ago and were open Saturdays. They lie and are closed. So disappointed.“
