It is rare to get your order correct here and when it does the food it just ok it is also always understaffed and long waits are part of the experience overall not a great place there are much better Mexican spots in Juneau and even by the airport.

Garbage. Placed an order was told 45min to an hour then got hung up on. Came an hour later and they said they didn’t have the order and that I called when they where busy. Tried to call back at least 10 times with no answer. This is the second time this place has been like this lately. Normally good food and service. But I mean hanging up when I’m waiting for my total then not answering or placing my order at all because your” busy”

For Juneau, great! I'm a Southwest expat and was happy with a break from halibut and fresh crab and dungeness crab and salmon. We go once a year.

I feel bad for this place, they're struggling to survive. I have to start by saying the food was absolutely delicious. No complaints there. The staff seemed severely overworked, yet they were extremely nice every time. I hope they get some help for staffing!

Good food, nice authentic feeling atmosphere, friendly staff.I'd suggest to management to remodel the entry area to have the cash register by the door. Mainly because they seem to be worried about non-customers using their restrooms.I'm no food connoisseur, but my belly and mouth were happy and I didn't break the bank to have a nice and tasty home-cooked type meal with my family while traveling away from home.Might be one of the reasons why there's no taco-bell type fast food chains in Juneau.

Ate the 3 steak tacos at the bar with a good pomegranate margarita ?. Enjoyed the food. The bartenders were awesome ladies.

Tried to have one single night eating out on a tight budget, worked with waiter who assured us of an agreed upon price for certain substitution on the meal I wanted to order. Ended up having to pay wayyy more than original price, somehow ended up getting charged 30$ for two tacos with minimal ingredients I couldve made at home for less than 3$, confronted staff and they wouldn't work with us, we left sad - could have ordered a lot more food and fed family for such a price if only waiter had told me what it would have really cost.. won’t go back.

I want to love this restaurant but they sure make it difficult. I know they are experiencing staffing shortages, but the ones they have would not have a job if they had a choice.Extremely slow, no smiles or how can I help you. Today I walked into an empty restaurant meaning, including me there were three other tables occupied. I sat for a good 10 minutes before a girl asked me if I needed a menu. She brought me water a basket of cold chips and a small bowl of salsa that wasn’t bad.I seated myself in a window booth next to a couple who also were waiting for service. When the server arrived to take their order she was very aware I was holding a menu and waiting to order as well, but she did not acknowledge me. After she left, a group of two couples walked in and chose a larger table near the back. They hardly sat down when the girl brought them menus, water and chips. Right behind her was the same server to take their orders. What the…. I realize as a lone diner, my bill is going to be less than a party of four but I’m a good tipper and the fact was I’d been there a good 15 minutes before they walked in.This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed how inconsistent the service is at Mi Casa. It doesn’t justify poor service and treating customers differently. The food isn’t that great, the updated menu has very little Mexican dishes to choose from and the price increases are obscene. There are several good Mexican restaurants in Juneau. Mi Casa is not.Mi Casa is not one of them.

About a year or so ago, I applied here for a cook position and the manager at that time explained that almost all of the food they served came premade. He said that all they really did was to heat it up and plate it. The concern was more about a potential candidates ability to cook eggs. I truly hope that they have since changed their service to hiring an actual cook/ chef.
