Simple menu: meat or potato dumplings. The potato dumplings are vegetarian (vegan if you don’t get butter). Order “everything on it” to get butter, sriracha, rice vinegar, curry powder, and cilantro. Very flavorful. Gigantic portions. It’s great drunk food. Slow service because of all the customers and only one person working.
I visit here often for work and when I’m in town, I love to get my hands on these dumplings! This time I came in for a big order to take home with me and Mack working there was AMAZING and the most helpful!! Just very kind, quick, and considerate when packing up my to-go order and made sure I had everything to replicate the freshness as much as possible while traveling with them. The vibe in there is always so cozy, comfortable, and chill and I recommend Pel’meni to everyone...read full review

Let’s be honest: this is not Russian food by any stretch of imagination. It’s a kind of Russian/Asian/Alaskan fusion, if you will. It’s pretty bland, the curry sauce helps but not fully. For Juneau, this was fairly priced and tasted ok enough that I came back again. It’s simple and it works but it surely won’t blow your mind.
