The staff here are all top notch! Excellent coffee, espresso and baked items. The food all looked amazing but we weren’t that hungry.Super cool atmosphere with lots of art from locals on the walls made this bustling coffee shop one of the best places we visited in Juneau. Do yourself a favor and go, get the Nutella croissant.

4 visits for me now I think they earned a review. They have the best and strongest coffee in town. The Adobo Loco Moco is so yummy you’ll wanna lick the plate clean. You won’t regret adding a chicken thigh to it as well it’s amazing. Avocado toast is great too. I wish yal were open a bit earlier so I could get coffee before work.

What a name

Food is usually great and the atmosphere feels warm. Today the service from one specific server was rude/callous and my food got cold before I got it. I felt as if my order was purposely left to get cold while I waited in the front for them to call my order. Usually this complaint could be without merit considering the rush servers have to deal with. I understand things get busy but I watched anxiously for my order because I was running late. Just to find out they stuck it in their “to-go” drawer for 15 minutes. While I stood there.I’m giving this one star for that specific server. And the other servers saying the called the order name. They did not! I wasn’t distracted I was literally 5 feet away from the counter. After 20 minutes I was wondering why it took so long to make eggs. First I blamed the rush then saw people who came in after me get their plates. That’s when I realized my order was never called even after getting glares from the server who took my order 20 minutes prior. I tried to get an update from the server and they just walked away from me.Again, usually a good place to eat. I understand it’s difficult being in the service industry. But at least treat people with basic human decency. I will probably delete this review before long. I don’t believe this one interaction with a server merits a drop in ratings for the Rookery.

Strange to have an extensive burger menu with zero vegan or vegetarian burgers. The vegetarian options were very limited, which is surprising for a cafe of this profile. Coffee was extremely high quality. I had an omelette that was pretty standard/basic. Beautiful space in an old building.

Went here twice on our trip! The food was delicious especially the pastries! Homey and warm place, usually busy but worth the wait!

This is one of the best places to get breakfast/brunch/lunch in Juneau. My personal "go-to" is the Eggs Benedict. The eggs are poached perfectly, the hollandaise sauce is light, and the side of breakfast potatoes are full of flavor and crispy. Their baristas know what they're doing on the coffee bar.

Delicious. Nice cafe ambience with large windows, tall ceilings, art photos on the wall. Philly cheese steak had great flavors and was on a delicate brioche bun. Ham and cheese croissant was perfect in texture and flavor.

Everything is good, ambiance is an old coffee diner. Got our food fast and everything in our order was accurate. I'd definitely recommend getting any of the pastries.

The Rookery has been a staple of Juneau's coffee scene since its inception. The baristas are clearly trained to the owner's standard, when he's not running the machine himself. The food - from the pastries and cookies to the burgers - is quality as well, making The Rookery great for sit down breakfast or lunch, as well as for grab-n-go.

Consistently stellar breakfast in Juneau’s cute downtown. Quality coffee (Stumptown), tasty pastries, and many hearty and very well prepared breakfast options. After first visiting last year, I recommended The Rookery to colleagues also here for a meeting this week. Nearly all 15 of us visited at some point during our stay, some for repeat visits (I went twice for breakfast and once just for iced chai)!Service is efficient: sometimes friendly, sometimes just right to the point. Start your day here and then go for a nice waterfront stroll, shop at locally owned boutiques, or hike, you’ll be glad that you did.
