The set up is ridiculous. You have to order annd pay upfront and they bring it to your table. The beer gets brought to you. There is no waitress. Wanna another beer? Get up go pay for another and reseat yourself. Desert? Yeah go get it too and re seat yourself. Ridiculous for a sit down restaurant.

Takes forever to go through the drive though, like 20 minutes at least even when there isn’t a long line at all. And then they completely messed up the order. Forgot all of the sides but put a random side in the bag that I didn’t order. When it’s that expensive I expect great service.

What a joke!! Why do y'all expect a tip when you got to make your own drinks and pay before you sit and seat yourself. Waiter only came to my table once to deliver food,I had to ask the women who took my order for to go boxes and cup..the food was good..but the service is horrible.. I'll stick to the Jim n nicks in Montgomery or Prattville..I will not be back?

It has been awhile since I have visited JNN and it will be awhile before I do so again. So you order when you walk in now and then you get to go make your own drink (they do have good ice). You grab your silverware and seat yourself. And they no longer bring a basket of muffins to your table. It was a Monday lunch with maybe a third of the tables taken. Not once did a server stop by and ask if we needed anything or offer to refill our drinks. The only time someone came to the table was when they brought out our food. The food was ok, my brisket was dry and I ordered marveled but it seemed lean, my sausage link was also dry, but my corn was delicious. The turkey breast was good, but nothing great (I got the 3 meat plate). I refilled my tea 3 times and got my own to go box. Not once did we have a server stop by, well until we were getting up and one asked if we wanted more to drink. I have no clue why I paid an 18% tip because there was no service. The food was okay with the brisket being a disappointment and that was the whole reason I wanted to go ( I had it door dashed a few months ago and the brisket was awesome). The restaurant did appear clean.

This place has really gone downhill... Not a full service restaurant anymore - you have to stand in line and order before you seat yourself at a table, make and refill your own drinks, etc. It seems like nobody there really cares how the customer's experience is eating in their establishment. Also the BBQ was very mediocre, and absolutely SMOTHERED in sugary sauce (a sin against brisket) to top it off our order was all mixed up when it arrived, with our family needing to swap around our sides to get what we asked for.

This place is ridiculous! We just went on a Saturday night & were stopped at the counter where you order. The lady tells us it will be 10-15 minutes before they can even take our order because they didn't have anyone to take our order. We decided to wait because we have always enjoyed the food there. After 20+ minutes the lady comes back out & tells us it will be 20 more minutes. We left. Waste of time.Jim & Nick's has really gone downhill.

Great bbq food. We tried the brisket & pulled pork sandwiches with mac & cheese side. Pork & beef had great flavor and best Mac & cheese I've ever had!!!

Stood in line to order and was asked to leave a tip before service. The Alabaster location has changed to lower standards and need to return to seating first and table service.

I was talked into getting the baby back ribs and honestly... I'll never get them again, they were dry and chewy, I like my baby backs to be juicy and fall off the bone, I'll give em the benefit of doubt here and just figure they were under a warmer for a while since it the time I sat down they were bringing it out to me. Held the ribs in one hand by the bone and they just hung there. Staff was super friendly though and had a smile on their faces.

Came by the drive thru to get a family meal. The food was hot and the service at the window was fantastic!

Had the brisket and pork combo plate. You must get your own drink, straw and your own silverware after you order at the front counter. I'm uncertain what "service" I'm tipping for? Meat was cold, and approximately 30% gristle between the 2 meats. Biscuits were tasty and the front counter person was friendly.

I tell you what this was the worst trip I have ever had at a Jim and nicks restaurant honestly the food wasn't that great and the service was down right embarrassing. Work on your employees

Good lunch. Staff were friendly and food was good. Had baked potato, chili, and collards. Expected chili to be meatier with some hint of bbq, so was bit disappointed with it. Greens were okay, but nothing special. Will have to give another try when in that area again.
