Friends from Washington State who are moving here stopped and ate supper at Dave's last night (3/19/2024). Their remark to me was "do we need to learn some Southern etiquette ? The service was terrible. Others were waited on and served after us. Had to stop waitress to place order and ask for our ticket. " Welcome to Alabama.

Greatest coleslaw from a restaurant anywhere. Buying quarts at a time can be expensive, but worth it. Everything on the menu is tasty, but the shrimp & cheese grits are amazing, if simple. Their AYCE fish is always top notch. My only gripe is that it's often so busy you can hardly enjoy yourself.Parking: Lots of spots, but often all but completely filled during rush hours.

Excellent food. Fish crisp. Cole slaw the best I have ever eaten.
We saw the sign on the way and wanted to stop and try it out, it was well worth the time to stop and eat. All you can eat catfish and shrimp with two sides.....delicious.

What a great place to have some catfish and seafood. Warm cozy place in a very cold day! Wait staff was excellent, very friendly and anticipated our every need. When you order coleslaw as a side they bring it out first like when you order a salad. Captains wafers on the table are a nice touch! The coleslaw is my favorite and sweet. I love it! Sweet tea is always sweet! I ordered the popcorn shrimp, fries and hush puppies. It was an enormous amount of food! My wife ordered the catfish but I didn't get a picture of hers but it was great as well! Everything was tasty and I highly recommend stopping by for lunch or dinner! They also have lunch baskets weekdays from 11-2pm.
The service was slow. Our server was slow about refilling drinks and checking on us. Had to ask for different condiments several times.
