105$ 4 of us. They first bring out great slaw( no celery salt thank you) corn bread and onions in vinegar. That's what the plates on the table are for. 2 had catfish, baked potatoes and hushpuppies. One got the shrimp combo, my husband got the 1/2 lb of Carole shrimp and loved it. 17.95$ for the platters. All walked away fat and happy. Got there at 5. Best time. No wait. It was cold. So ladies bring your jackets. This place gets packed.
We came to celebrate my sister's birthday. We have been looking forward to coming for a while. Always wanted to eat here but 90 minutes away was a long trip while I was still teaching school. The slaw and cornbread came out first and was great. We all had the whole catfish and all asked for it to be extra crispy and well done. We also asked for well done crispy fries on another plate. Well, the catfish was missing a lot of the breading and was not well done or crispy. In fact, there was a pool of oil in the bottom of each of our plates. The fries were not extra crispy or even brown at all. They were a pale yellow. When we told the server he replied "I wrote it on the ticket". No offers to take it back. Why was it even served to us knowing it wasn't what the order said. An hour and a half to get there and an hour time difference we were hungry and ate what we could. I was looking forward to being a repeat customer and having a Sunday School social here but not now. Years ago I heard this was the place to go for catfish. I wonder what happened. Did it change hands or is this just poor management? If my hands weren't so greasy I would have taken pictures as a picture is worth a thousand words.

The food is amazing. The cornbread, coleslaw, and picked onions that they give you as free starters are good enough to be meals on their own.Everything my wife and I have eaten there has been phenomenal, and we've never experienced bad or even sub-par service.

Well, not today guys.The only thing I have to say is I'd you are ever in Anniston, Alabama, go check em out. Amazing food.
