Me and my partner randomly decided to try this place out because we were kinda burned out of the other Mexican places in Athens. We walked in and the 80 on their health score almost made us leave but we decided to go ahead and try it out. As we were waiting to order we started looking at the other reviews and started to get mildly apprehensive about the food that we might be getting. Let me just tell you, we were WRONG! The food came out relatively fast and was delicious and fresh. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and definitely want to come back. Keep in mind we went in the middle of the day so it was dead so it's hard to speak to whether we have the same experience if it was packed. But needless to say we definitely will be coming back!

This is a large Mexican restaurant in the Publix strip mall. They have trivia a couple of nights a week and a large menu. They only offer dinner options on Sundays. The dinner portions are sizable and I doubt you will leave hungry. Their carnitas are particularly good. The chile Colorado is a bit watery, but has a great flavor and the right amount of spice. All in all, a solid option for sit down Mexican.Parking: This is in a large strip mall, so there are a lot of parking options. However, it can get a bit crowded when Publix is full. There is usually a handicap space available near the restaurant’s door.

Love this new Mexican option! There are very good, very affordable options on the menu. The service is excellent. It can be very loud, but that was not a deal breaker for me. Will definitely be back to try more menu items.

I was hesitant about going at first because my wife had shown me some of the reviews but I’m so glad I did! Rarely do I leave reviews, but David at La Finka deserves recognition . Serving our party of 20 effortlessly, he's truly the best. The cheese dip was a hit, and every dish, a delight. Plus, the drinks? AMAZING. We'll be back for David's top-notch service and La Finka's delicious food!
