TASTE and the CITY with Nik

This review was posted 3 yrs ago, since I edited a typo in it a few weeks ago it changed the timestamp to show a more recent review however it is not, sorry. This establishment is no longer open.Loved the ambience! Really nice spot! Today I enjoyed their fried breakfast patties that are delicious with several mimosas!

Girls night out and entertaining singer did a great job with the live band

Great Ambience! Intimate and cozy. Staff and bartenders are pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. The decor is modern and the loft feel makes it more trendy. Cocktails and beverages are ok. Low inventory selected of top shelf liquors. Great place for small parties and groups.

Nice place, live music and group celebration spot.

Sadly, this place is closing as of 9/8/2019 but it was a nice night spot. I met a friend at 1st and 23rd last night to listen to live music. Abraham was the featured singer and the band was High Demand. They were energetic and performed well. There was no cover charge. There were only 3 servers working so it was hard to get service but they were hustling. The bartender who served me was nice but my drink was weak. I would have liked some food, but again, it was hard to get service due to the limited staff and crowd. All in all it was an enjoyable night. I am sad to see a live music spot close.

Good food and good music. The servers seemed a bit uptight. I don't know if it had to do with the kitchen taking a long time to get orders out.

It's a cool place to do a meet and greet if you are meeting someone you are interested in for the first time.

Maybe it is somebody's taste but not mine. Food. Tacos. Was ok. Drinks. All were way too sweet. Not my cup of tea. Seems like a failing location in Bham.

Lovely space and ambiance. Great drinks but food overly salty. You hear more personal conversations of employees than music and patrons.

Ok, this place has so much potential. They would get 4 to 5 stars if I was solely basing their review off of the live performance going on, but I'm not. The space is surprisingly a lot larger than what I anticipated from the outside and has a dark, relaxing, lounge or speakeasy type of vibe. I'm sure it would be a wonderful night time spot. The entertainer had a beautiful voice, played the piano beautifully and greeted almost every individual that walked in. Service was lacking personality and seemed rather selective of who they chose to truly engage with. The mimosas seemed to be more orange juice than anything and the food was good, but had no "wow" factor in my opinion. I will definitely be back to see if my friends and I just happened to come on an off day or if this is truly just the experience.

So excited to see vegan options on the menu. Friendly staff. DJ Elite was rocking the "one's and two's" effortlessly.

Must have been an off night. Terrible service. What Kind of place serves burgers and fries but doesn't have ketchup? The vibe isn't bad.

We had brunch here for the first time. The $0.23 mimosas are worth the visit by themselves! They were not extremely potent, but the serving was more than we anticipated. They have a nice brunch menu. It's not extensive, but the options are good. The food tasted good. The prices were very reasonable. They use plastic flatware and cups, which I wasn't fond of. The food and experience were good enough that we'll be back.

Nice very laid back spot. Great good and the staff is great as well. They have amazing live music and we went there on a 90's R&B night and had a blast. Will be back very soon!!

Caters to various age groups, depending on the night. Very grown and sexy ambiance. You must try the margarita
