First the good things, friendly personnel. Service was great, the waiter's helpful and knowledgeable of the menu. Atmosphere was relaxed and casual. No wine snobs here! The food was good but the portions were minuscule. A $30 charcuterie tray compares In Volume to a lunchable. The tray contained about a teaspoon of blue cheese, about seven half cubes of Cheddar, six olives, eight almonds, three paper thin slices of meat and a few pieces of baguette. We also had the sliders, two teeny little rolls with one piece of beef cheek (which was yummy) but way too small to support a $14 price tag. I recommend this place to those with deep pockets and an extremely light appetites.

Wait staff excellent. Aimed to please. Wine was tasty. Charcuterie board could not feed a toddler. Portions were very small for the price. $150.00 bill paid and still had an empty stomach.

Our group of four popped in for a drink while we waited for our table at Bamboo on 2nd. This was an excellent recommendation from the host at Bamboo. None of us had visited Avine before and were happy for the opportunity. All our cocktails were tasty and our server was fast and very friendly. Well go back when we can try some of their food too.

The food was pretty good and the cocktails were top-notch. The environment was nice. The service was ok, but the server was a snob.

The food, drinks, and staff are all top notch. It's classy without being pretentious, you can get actual good quality food "late night", and has a downtown neighborhood bar feel to it. This place is wonderful!

Visited after Karaoke night at Sidewalk. They are open late, have good service, the meatball small plate was good, and the drinks aren't overpriced.

Aviné's ambiance and wine selection is the uniquely the best in Birmingham. The owners are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about wine and fine spirits. The Manhattan is the best I have ever had. PERIOD. We stayed at The Elyton Hotel, and Aviné is just a few blocks from the hotel. This is my new fave and a perfect spot to meet up with our favorite Birmingham friends/family.

Aviné is a gorgeous space with one of the friendliest bartenders in B'ham. I tried the Aperol Spritz and it was perfectly made. The bar was comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed a quick cocktail on our way home from another bar but plan to return soon and spend more time.

This is a very nice, small wine bar in downtown Birmingham. The service is top quality. The wine selections are very good. They serve small plates. Avine is set up to host small private parties.

After a second visit, I suspect this place will get a fifth star. My wife and I were looking for a cheese plate and someone in a nearby shop pointed us here. We were immediately impressed with the clean, crisp design ethic, offset by a wall of old Bessemer grey brick. It could be located in the East Village, NYC.For a wine bar, we were shocked to find a well curated, classic cocktail menu. We tried the Aviation and Sazerac and were very happy with them. The staff and owner were wonderful. We found this spot perfect for a late afternoon stop, not crowded, good background music and great cocktails.

Lovely place. I sat outside to get some sun after a full day of freezing air conditioning. The service was delightful and the burrata was just right for a glass of white wine. I chose Chardonnay but a Pinot gris would have been better yet. Enjoy and I'm jealous I can't be popping in soon.

Reed will take good care of you at the bar and helped find a great bottle to go. This is the best, and maybe only, spot to grab a bottle downtown. Great spot for wine lovers.
